20:15 Not only that, but also giving the IQ Tour core the AI outer core would have made a potential next generation IQ Tour a banger of a ball for Storm.
Start by saying I love your review videos. I would have like to have seen the level at a out of box finish on the house shot. Like the hammer NU I think looks but better at 1500 or 2000 on house. Like you said when its that dull it just hooks up and rolls out and doesnt look good at all. Keep the videos up my man. IMO you and JR have some of the best/most realistic reviews on YT at the moment.
I'd be interested how this compares to the stronger Microcell Polymer balls from Motiv like the Carbide Tank alongside the B7 balls with the NU cover. Seems like they are all kind of aiming for the same thing.
Brother it was a hell of a try but I see why you don’t like using urethane 😂. I say next time put out a long sport shot so you at least have a chance. Love your videos regardless my guy! 👍🏾
Question: Do you use your right or left foot for alignment on the approach? Did not like the look of the Level at all. It just seems like another Storm attempt at a "Urethane Like" bowling ball and we know how all those experiments over the years have not worked out. IQ78 looked really good. Early, smooth, controlled and ran the pins down.
@@TheHype-Bowling I know you said the NU and Rattler NU comparison. I was just hoping you could drop that in with them. But, all good! Love my Rattler NU.
You definitely convinced me not to get a Level…to me this ball is unpredictable and not very good on house shots I don’t think this will be a popular ball. It looks like too much work, you have to worry about your speed you have to worry about your alignment. You have to worry about your release too much thinking to use that ball.
I didn't listen to the intro last night and did not know you were bowling on cheetah. You should do another video on cheetah comparing mesmerize and gb5 and that level up or whatever it's called. A dull solid symmetrical would work much better than that ball.
i just wish they did not market the "we used AI to build this bowling ball" so hard. just "hello fellow kids" energy. Like how is that going to convince anyone to buy a bowling ball. "geez i don't know the hammer looks nice but storm uses AI so that's obviously the most advanced bowling ball i'll take THAT one!"
I remember being confused at what "AI" meant on their new cores. Even hearing the name "Amplified Inertia" it doesn't answer what it means. From what I've gathered, it means they modify the balls such that the 16, 15, 14lb versions of the ball result in the same specs of RG + Diff. Traditionally those specs change per weight, but Storm's "AI Technology" means they modify the balls to have the same specs at those higher weights. Since I throw 15 only, I've not paid close attention if that's been a ground breaking change or not. I assume it's a positive change for those that throw 14 to have at least the same specs as all the reviewers are throwing. Rare to find a 14lb ball reviewer covering all the balls. I'm sure there's still minor difference still, but less differences seems positive.
@@remington1439 to be fair when you go on the product page for the ball and CTRL+F "amplified" there is zero mention of "amplified" anything. but "A.I" is mentioned 6 times. there is even "A.I core" on the picture of the ball. they are marketing "A.I" and to the general consumer that means artificial intelligence. Storm does have a separate product page on their A.I core but it is super vague on what it is / how it works. just seems like marketing jargon.
@@NicholasTuck the biggest change is the outer core is divoted like a golf ball so there is more coverstock material? it makes the inner core more dense becase there is slightly less outer core?? i'm all for trying something new there hasn't been a lot of changes to bowling technology in the past several years.
@ well I know it’s a textured coverstock but this ball is also new technology and I’d like to see a motion comparison but thanks for the nonsensical input
@@willveniscofski1326 Nonsensical? I simply described what happened in the video. Charles threw the Level a few times and wasn't nearly lined up. He threw 8 shots and only hit the pocket 1.5 times (one was flush, the other was barely in the pocket). The other shots weren't even close. Then he switched to the Pitch Black. That's. What' Happened. Charles can handle some constructive criticism. He doesn't need the peanut gallery to chime in.
I have no problem with constructive criticism. But you say I only threw 8 shots with the ball is simply incorrect when I go from a sport pattern to a house shot and throw each of the balls a number of times. I leave a the shots in my videos so you can see. I’m not trying to sell you a new ball, I’m trying to tell the viewers my experience with a new ball. This one was not it on sport shot as you already explained. Playing a straighter with more speed was the play with this ball. And you saw me toss a couple messengers and some flush hits. I’m testing area not trying to put on strike fest. Yes it happens in other videos some times but often because the ball gave me the extra room as I bounce around the lane.
@@TheHype-Bowling Oh I'm definitely going to buy one, so that's already decided. I'm just sharing my take. I just said I would prefer if you got more lined up before changing balls. You did indeed throw 8 shots with the Level before switching to the Pitch Black. That's simple truth. That was at 7:27, but you didn't throw any shots at all until 3:30. You highlighted the subject of the whole video for only 4 minutes in the beginning. I would prefer you spent more time with the ball on-topic. There's my $.02. Cheers!
Love your reviews and throw the ball similar to you and the level is the worst looking ball I've ever seen you review and you should throw it into a lake. I hate urethane and I cannot understand everybody's fascination with it. I see it can have some use in a very tough flat long pattern but you couldn't pay me to roll that ball. Stand left throw right and have a great night 🌉
In the 90s I was blessed to on the original danger zone. Own. The pro who drills my balls said you have to have a urethane ball and a shiny Storm ball to put on your bag with your original danger zone. I might have pulled 10 games with my read urethane hammer and I gave it to a guy in a league who only had a 10-year old rubber Ball. The Storm ball never could get over the cliff and was over under on every shot. BTW I bowled against that pro and straight out of the box I threw 836 with the original danger zone. We had a ton of money on each game and the set and I was getting 31 pins per game. I felt so bad about it and I love the way he drilled the balls so I took it in store credit 💳. In 40 years of bowling league and tournaments I only have one other 800 set. 279 + 299 Plus 258. Glory Days. Level up with that ball and throw it in the ocean 🌊
Dood. This was not good. You never got lined up with the Level, so we didn't get to see what it does when you're lined up properly. You were several boards too far right for this pattern and nowhere near the pocket. Then you switched to another ball. If you are reviewing a ball, GET LINED UP before you switch to another ball. We have no way of comparing them unless you do this first. Please go watch Chris Barnes's review of the Level. He does this perfectly.
Spent the whole video trying to turn up my brightness 🔆 this the darkest video ever
😂
I just turned up the brightness like what the heck. 😂😂

Nice comparison vid (pattern and balls), good stuff. It would be cool to see this thrown with the Purple Hammer.

Would love to see this against the other NU’s both the rattler and the Hammer.
On the way.
Why is the video so dark?
lol I went to adjust my brightness but it was already maxed
I adjusted my brightness and it was way better. 🤷🏻♂️
I was thinking the same thing
lol glad I’m not the only one
Great video Charles’ like the Z25 short clip, can not wait see more.

Don’t have motiv Carbide.
@@TheHype-Bowling Gotcha. I couldn't remember if you reviewed it or not. I'm sure it's basically unobtainium at this point.
You should compare it to Motiv mcp tank ball
MOVE LEFT!!😂
If you are doing more comps i think Rattler NU is the closest motion shape.
But also, yikes. lol.
Agreed. I would like to see the Level vs an NU and a MCP from Motiv. Maybe throw in purple hammer also

The zen u was good for me when I threw my buddies, never got one myself and should have. Every other SPI urethane like ball has been bad for me.
Inside of my left foot is how I get lined up.
Plastics aren't suppose to hook. But they do on me 😭😂
I want to see it against purple hammer and motive tank
Put it up against the Tank Yellow Jacket.

Never had one.

I dont know. The storm level seems it has a weak, lower diff.
🔥🔥🔥
It took me a min to figure out throwing urethane but once I did I choked a 300 in league.i have to play straight with a lot of speed
I want to see what it’s like after 30 games of oil absorption. Is it going to be dead after that?
do you ever sell any of your bowling balls? i'd be interested in buying...
No
Like to see with 500.

It’s a symmetrical reactive ball!! It is not a urethane!!!
Correct. But it’s meant go give bowlers another option off of urethane. Every video that was released threw urethane to compare.
