I gave my heart to the Lord in 1989.
One of my roommates asked me to come to church with them and I obliged. There he introduced me to his church family and this Brother named Hollis gave me tape of Commissioned. That day was a life changer for me Spiritually and musically as a Musician and singer.
I was able to relate to style of the music and I’ve been a stone cold Commissioned fan ever since .
Commissioned is the soundtrack of my entire life!! We go back to beige cassette tapes❤. Best group of all times...rich gospel message lyrics, song writing, vocals, music...unmatched!!!! I love them and know every song word for word!
Maaaaaan, this concert hits different now that Bishop Brooks passed. RIP, Bishop Michael Brooks. Your legacy will never be forgotten.
I remember going to see their first concert in Los Angeles. It was in a tiny Hollywood nightclub. House was packed. God was glorified. 😊
I cried at the beginning of this video!💕💕💕 seeing everyone together and seeing everyone STILL with the LORD. He is able to keep His own.
I feel you on that. I got emotional too because they're my favorite male group and it was my first time seeing them live

Sadly, Michael Brooks passed July 16😓 Co-founder, Keyboardist, and legendary songwriter of the group. Please keep his family and us fans in prayer 🙏. We'll always be thankful for Bishop Brooks' obedience to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, for saying yes to the call. What a legacy!

None of us ever knew a few years later, Bishop would make his transition. RIP, Bishop.
Commissioned have "sounds" that transport you into the very presence of God.! Loved them for YEARS and always will !
My favorite group of all time since a teenager!😍 Growing up I had to sneak and listen to their music because our church thought this type of music sound “worldly or secular” 😂 so my mom didn’t want me listening to it…. I loved Commissioned so much I risked getting my behind beat just to sneak and listen to them anyway 😂😂😂

Yeah they were singing straight word and people back then had a problem with their look. I absolutely loved them because they taught me scriptures through song! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿

Their smooth harmony is amazing! Each one has a unique sound! But they blend well together!
This was the last event my brothers and I attended before my brother passed away. We was able to go back stare and meet the guys. This was awesome and sad at the same time. Thx for sharing
Thank for this post. I’m a late bloomer of this group but I’m indeed a fan of great music and God given talent. I wish they would go back on tour ALL MEMBERS and make it a Detroit thing. Commissioned & The Clark Sisters! That would be a great gospel tour.

I saw the show in the ATL and it was the greatest concert I'd ever attended in my life
I shed a single tear when Mitchel did the famous high pitched riff in Tis so Sweet 🥲
So glad to see them do a live session as recent as 2019. I grew up on their music since 1990s. Shout out from Abuja, Nigeria.
This is great. I saw them when they came to the Baltimore/Washington area right before the pandemic. I sang/screamed myself hoarse

Going to this concert was such a blessing and created some a beautiful memory. I was VERY pregnant with my first child ❤️♥️❤️ And I went with my best friends (sisters) they sang my favorite song “ I am here”🥰🥰

Thanks for posting this! I purchased the reunion concert but AFTER I bought it, I realized it was the wrong one! Learned a valuable lesson #1 RUclips's customer service STINKS! Virtually impossible to get a hold of someone! #2 NEVER make a purchase from RUclips again. They have lost a chance for me to upgrade. Will stick with Google Play and Amazon Prime (may up to Amazon Unlimited)!

They first concert N. T.C.O.G Highgate Church. Brilliant concert. Before the concert
I remember myself and Frank went to Birmingham City centre uk . With the Commissioned to the menswear When fred and the rest try on suits I tell you what ole Freddie is a comedian but they all funny.
Its a Blessing seeing them and there first Album came out 86 Fantastic.
They should comeback and do new materials yes they should.

North Carolina Michael Brooks played all the keyboard parts by himself every song didn’t miss a note quite emprssive upon me as I am a keyboardist myself . I also remember Fred saying that He learn to write songs fromBishop aBrooks all the songs were either written by Fred or Michael Brooks
