Ameer was so important, in so many ways... showing how a group of friends can change someone for the better, showing how to unapologetically be yourself. Glad I saw him perform while I could.

Man hope all the Ameer allegations were before he found his moral compass. He seemed so happy to be a part of something that didn't corrupt him.
From what it seems as a fan looking inward, Ameer did some fucked up things in his life, but he was changing for the better. granted, he never came out about what he had done in the past but I honestly don't think he should've been kicked out.

Just listen to milk, it’s pretty clear he knows he has some problems and expresses them clearly to his audience, if only people listened to what he was actually saying throughout an album rather than listening to the first song 5 songs on an album which were in this case star, gold, Heat, and boys. By no coincidence the most popular songs.
Donnie Evergreen The fact that the audience wasn't listening wasn't the problem. The band clearly knew what he was talking about, but when he got kicked out they said they had been lied to. So, obviously there is more to it than we've seen on the surface. All that being said, if you're going to have members of your group rapping about how they will literally shoot you if you mistreat women (Matt's verse in JUNKY), it's probably not good for your image to have someone who mistreats women in your group. They have publicly said they don't tolerate ANY form of abuse, so removing Ameer from the band was the right decision. Too often men face little to no repercussion for sexual misconduct, more so if they have a platform, so this move by the band was a step in the right direction.

Get a sound engineer for shows. The ones at the venue don't get paid enough to make a show to sound good or care. Sad when it's just vocals and a back track. That should be simple.

They talk about abuse and rape in some of their songs so by keeping ameer they are associating themselves with tolerating those issue so it was smart of them to kick him out, so they no longer associate with those issues
I agree that once Ameer got kicked they lost apart of their creativity and art that he brought to the band, but what he did was way worse. It needs to be understood that rape, abuse and violence will not and should not be tolerated.
