I was too busy to watch much TV, it was seldom turned on because work came first, and work was never done. So, this is a treat to see what I was missing!
I loved this episode. The character Ingrid Rose was hilarious!!! The look on Peter's face after she opened that door was priceless. 😁😄😂 Great ending regarding who the killer was and the closing scene with Amos, Peter and Henry was just the right touch! 👍🏾
Thank you for posting. Such a fun show, they don't take themselves too seriously. The music is lovely. Happy viewing from Las Vegas, NV August 29, 2018
Gene Barry began his career in the days when people knew how to dress with class. As for his walk, Barry started out as a song and dance man on Broadway.
Union rules usually say that an actor has to be provided with a wardrobe. If an actor provides his own clothes, he gets paid a certain amount per article of clothing. That is the way Broadway Equity works and I imagine that is the same for the Screen Actors Guild. I imagine that Mr. Barry had it in his contract to take home all the great clothes he got to wear.
Great guest stars Sad that Jeff Conaway died tragically in this episode Sadder that he tragically died from being a drug addict Sad that Gary Burghoff died in this episode too
This version is fluff and corny compared to the original but I still really enjoy it because of Gene Barry who manages to still be Suave and Debonair with this version,if you want to know what I'm talking about check it out it's on RUclips, great jazz type music very dramatic, but I like this to for the comedy and seeing the stars, also Peter Barton lol
May be you need therapy for spoiling this show for everyone but then maybe I should thank you for teaching me a lesson and never read the comments before watching. You could at least warn people. I did watch it because I thought maybe it was a red herring but it certainly didn’t seem as interesting as I had your comment at the back of my mind. I guess it takes all sorts🥰
So I seen so many ppl talk about the original show. Did the guy who is the chief play the same person in the original one and what about his son? Did he have his son working with him then too? And how did that work out? I guess I am asking was it the same set up the Chief the son and the driver was all of them the same ppl in the original one. If not who played who and also was it the same way where he has a son or was the chief the detective then and there was someone else playing the chef am dead it his dad? Do you know if the original is on you tube as well? I would love to watch it. I love detective shows. And even tho I am 36 I love the way this was. I miss these years. The 90s was so much fun to grow up in. I have never heard of this show till I just happen to find it on here an watched one and became addicted to it. Been stuck watching them every sense. Lol I been stuck in bed for 4 days watching this show. Thankfully I have nothing to do. Today was the only day I had to go somewhere and I was able to put it on and set my phone in the holder and play it threw my radio. Lol my kids even like it. They go the girls are so different in this show then they Are on other shows. I go yes because of the 90s when it was made. Actors and actresses wore different clothes and they had a different way about themselves. I was like and even when they was not in a show at home they dressed like.this if they was going somewhere or the house outfits they wore them too. I go we just dressed so different then even kids did as well.

34:40, There's no such thing as a 'Ms', pronounced mzzz. It's a dodge from whether a woman is married or not. That's the business of the world at large, and the only thing that matters about any woman is whether she's married or not. It's Miss or Mrs. like always.
Because whether you like it or not, it's nature. The draw, or pull, is from the female side to the male side. That's nature on this planet and it took men's inventions and systems to make it questionable. It's still a good question and I'm not satisfied with my answer and will work on it some more. It's the kind of thing we all sense but have a hard time defining.
No follow-up answer is going to change your mind. Speaking of not sensing, where is the "women's intuition" I've always heard about? There are plenty of other indications and I'm sure you don't sense them either. I'll keep thinking about it but nature is often a better proof than an explanation that can be disputed. There is still no such thing as an 'ms'. Ironically it took men and their ingenuity to change that and now women that once knew nothing else are telling us it's none of our business whether they're married or not. I always figure out what I work on but sometimes it takes longer. (It's about time I got something challenging. The answers are usually without any reason.) In the meantime it's social nature. My grade school was on a street called Melvina so I should remember yours better.)

I am so loving these episodes! Seeing all those great actors and actresses from years ago----makes me feel good! Thanks so much for posting!

Hunter Tylo is seriously talented and she's having fun with Ingrid Rose here. This was Paula Prentiss's last tv gig. great twist at the end.
Peter's tip for the exercise guy should have been "exercise your right to remain silent".
The old show from the 60's was alright, but this version is the best. On top of that Peter Barton brightened up the show.
Peter Barton is such a handsome creature & he still is up to this day. I so love his accent.
Very enjoyable episode with a surprise ending.👍

Happy 66th Birthday to Peter Barton! (July 19, 2022).
Love watching these shows... and the last minute with the cookies was a very funny scene:))

Hi, I don't understand your comment. 10/06/2018
From this comment, these are Hollywood style murder mysteries. My two favorite guest stars in this episode were Marla Gibbs and Hunter Tylo.
Kudos to the stunt crew . The opening fall was well done . Good editing . Fun series .
I wonder if Mr. Barry's wardrobe was his own or the studio's. He is always so sharpe. Wow, he is a very classy man. And that walk!
Bettie Blakey hopefully you saw him in the original... Even the women on the show were so classy and gorgeous.
I agree 100% .He was suave

Love the tech! Mobile and pager 😀
I just love to hear Peter Barton's voice.
Awesome Show!
This one was the best
Burke,s Law is an amusing series.
Wow Hunter Tylo and Marla Gibbs!❤❤
thank you I really love this series
This program is the only one I'm aware of that the lead chief runs around and accuses everyone In his path until something sticks...
Sounds like all "Cop" shows 😅
I always loved Gene Barry-Gene is my middle name💯💋Thx for posting!
You're doing a great job, think you only have about three or f more e to go. Again thank you so much.
1 more to go :)
Oh wow. This one was a surprise ending
Wow! Radar from "M*A*S*H" (both the movie and the CBS sitcom) was in this episode.
Does anyone know if the 90’s version of Burke’s Law had a soundtrack or original score? I could only find the 60’s version?
Probably not, especially since it barely lasted 2 seasons.
first episode i saw where nobody said "he's dead!"
i guess after a fall like that its pretty self explanatory😅

Jeff Conaway!!
Ooooh, HunterTylo still looked sooo beautiful here. Such a shame, what she has done to her face.....
So true. I cannot look at her without flinching
She was also a guest on the first season, seventh episode, "Who Killed the Soap Star?"
Wow. That ending i didnt expect
Mike Skumanick you mean where all the suspects/guest stars were arrested?
The one person that wasn’t credited was Teresa Ganzel. I was watching this episode in its original broadcast on CBS. I saw her name in those credits.

Awww. Poor Jeff Conaway.
This is not Burke's law from the early 1960s!

Jan truitt you mean the part where all the suspects were arrested. I remembered that too and it was unexpected.
Just because your paranoid does not mean their not out to get you.a quote i once heard from walter martin .
This one was easy to figure out.
I'm watching all episodes
Isn't it hunter tylo second appearance?!
Yep. She was in 2 episodes. Then shortly after, Aaron Spelling was sued by her in 1996 for firing her from melrose place for being pregnant.
@@v.b6028 I remember

Yeah, time is his cash cow.
that was good.. surprise ending!
Hallelujah! Black #3 Marla Gibbs(fiesty as Florence was)!
This Henry was supposedly Polynesian not Japanese. The original Henry was Japanese though.
The original actor who played Henry was Filipino. They called him Japanese but he wasn’t.
All of them?!🤷🤦♂️

Spoiler alert further down the comments about who is the killer😬🙈
Mr.Jefferson
They couldn’t have gotten someone who actually looks like he does ab work? Seems would change actor or his “thing” from fitness to something else..
