I'd play 4th string Jack Woche,I'd play the waterboy,I'd run the wildcat, but I would not want Sims on the field. He turns the ball over about every 10 plays.
Did y'all not watch the last game?? Purdy led the offense down 90 yards on a drive with good passing (3rd & 6 to Billy Kemp) and carried 2 defenders for an extra 2-5 yards on a couple carries (1st & 10 for 9 yards after the Billy Kemp reception ALSO the 1st and 10 gaining 11 yards on a scramble/broken play).. Sims and Purdy split first teams reps on Tuesday with HH being limited to mental reps.. I'll agree that you need to be careful with Purdy but Sims has a turnover every 10 snaps... IF Purdy is available and wants to play, YOU PLAY HIM. I don't know where the narrative that Chubba cant run started, but its completely inaccurate Looking at the Interception, there were multiple people (on social media) who couldn't tell if it was Malachi Coleman's fault, Satterfield's play-calling, a great play by the DB, bad play by the offensive line (THE ENTIRE GOAL LINE DRIVE) or a bad ball by Purdy... WHAT HAPPENED TO THE #1 TE IN THE COUNTRY?? Go back and look at the play, If Thomas Fidone came off his block all he had to beat was one man over the middle and it would've been touchdown.. Instead, he got pushed back 5 yards blocking because the OL cant handle pressure... Purdy gives us the best option in terms of not only passing (3rd & 6 to Billy Kemp) but also decision making.. He's been the ONLY QB to consistently throw the ball away when a play breaks down and play it safe / move on to the next play.. (1st and Goal) I love y'alls content & watch every week, but this video was abysmal..
Sure but you have everyt other play he’s ever. Played. If he wasn’t scheduled for surgery at the end of the month I don’t mind playing him. But why do that?
@@noneyobusiness_6217 Was Sims here last year? Was HH a STARTING QB last year? WAS MATT F***NG RHULE EVEN HERE?? LIVE IN THE MF PRESENT. Once again, Sims has one turnover every 10 snaps and *HH is out with an ankle & hasn't practiced all week..* You seriously can't convince me that a QB who turns the ball over 1/10 snaps (and back-to-back the last game) deserves the start over a QB who turned the ball over ONCE when the whole fanbase is torn over who's fault it actually was.. Not to mention the fact that Whipple wanted almost NOTHING to do with his development as a QB last year unless they absolutely required it
Luke Longval is the only option if Sims is healthy and Purdy and HH are dealing with injuries. Oh wait, this is reality not a fantasy, we might as well sink with Sims, despite his skills he just can't secure the ball. Purdy would be the only logical choice if healthy enough. His drive in the Maryland game made peolpe almost believe. Maybe he can make us believe for real if he can secure the ball better than HH and Sims.
At this point, the turnovers are more on the QB coach. All 3 QBs have shown a trend for habitually throwing into coverage with a prayer. To me, this leans towards a coaching issue. Not to mention the play calling on top of it. It isn't helping the QBs at all. More running will loosen up the coverage, especially on play action. Snapping under center, tends to loosen up coverage a bit. It's agitating to see the run work over and over again. As soon as it doesn't work for a few plays, instead of working other ground plays, Satterfield goes immediately into passing. The first one works, because we've been running. After this, it doesn't... because he goes back to a majority passing attack. Also, we don't have accurate passing, and when it is on, our receivers tend to drop it. The probability of something bad happening when passing is so high with this team right now.
I would play both Jack Woche and Luke Longval before I would let Sims play another snap on offense. I mean anywhere on offense. The guy can’t hold onto the ball, catch the ball, make decent decisions passing the ball or even jump on the ball. He turns the ball over an average of once every quarter he plays. I would have moved him to linebacker this week.
They’re all trash. Sims can throw it decent but still will throw ints Hasrberg can’t throw at all and has. A band ankle sprain. Purdy had a good drive. Still turned it over and needs surgery. There has been plenty of bad looks for Rhule except his press conferences. Who plays tomorrow is a lose lose.
Coach Rhule will probably start praying he doesn’t drop the snap try to run and fumble or throw it only looking at the receiver who is suppose to get it ! Put a spy on him and head to that receiver! I would pick purdy with HH in back up roll
I have no doubt Rhule will double down on his man Jeff Sims. They will throw the ball just like before. I really don’t think Rhule cares about this year.
Play both Purdy and haarberg I personally think that haarberg has gone south is because our injured players who were game players before their injuries aren't out there for the rest of the season. They've only had a month to readjust where before they had 3 or more months to practice. I think we should just do our best and I think haarberg and Purdy should both play. Keep Oklahoma on their toes. They haven't had the opportunity to study Purdy. Southern 👧 with Nebraska ❤️
We need 1 decent game out of whoever they put at qb, just a decent game not a great game or even a very good game. Run the ball and s few short passes just to keep the defense somewhat honest and then play field position and lean on the defense. Can Sims run the option?
If Purdy can play, and I suspect he can, he should start. Sims did improve on his ability to catch the snap, so there's a positive.... They need to play ugly. Three yards and a cloud of rubber bits. We have a great FG kicker. Exploit the opportunities given and minimize high-risk plays. Field position. Win 6-3 and we can go back to complaining about the ugly wins.
