@angealreaper5600 It's actually a very good build right now. It gets double crit, which means 4x damage and burn and it kills dooley faster than most of the lizard or ray builds that are everywhere can kill you
@@aidantaylor3324 Double crit applies only to the extra damage on the hit, for total 3x (not 4x damage), and it does not apply to the burn. Burn can still get the crit effect to get double burn though.
i could see why people think theyre tryna force people to buy Dooley to make more money when they do something like that. My buddy caved and bought Dooley because of it

That submarine in the same shop as the crows nest had to have been the better line right? He had the 40% crit on large items skill and giga shield synergy with the temp shelter. He likes the submarine as well so it suprised me to see NL not even consider it so I might be missing something.
It might've been a decent line. Sub isn't that good in general right now but having 20% crit for it already at that point and the grindstone make it a possible option. It's not really "shield synergy" with the temp shelter though they just both give shield

Usually I don’t say anything about NL’s builds because I watch the Bazaar I don’t play it but this was just an egregious run. Vanessa is a glass cannon, you want to burst an enemy down or 1 shot crit before they get a chance to kill you. But he just keeps buying chocolate over and over and over 😭😭 it’s starting to hurt. And why does temporary shelter get priority over everything? Shield is good for Vanessa so she can stay alive long but it means nothing if her DPS sucks. Even life steal can’t change that
in my opinion, cutlass is the only good build that can kill dooley. BUT, you need to get to like 250 damage minimum. something to crit haste, then the time down to less than 3 seconds at least, and alacrity or flurry of blows to instant kill dooley before he can freeze you for 10 seconds, unless you have radiant then it is almost a free win. the worst build i encounter is the freaking pig freeze build.
Trebuchet with good haste skills (haste weapon when using non weapon, crashing waves, haste aquatics on combat start, etc.) can roflstomp metadooleys pretty reliably.
NL I think you sink too many opportunities on buy/sell scaling. Chocolates for temporary shelter were good this run up to a point but mid/late game I think you would have been better off looking for pivots/burns by going to more shops/events.
When you find yourself hitting a wall perhaps you should spend a little more time thinking about what you're doing rather than doing the same actions on autopilot every time? Also, just re-check your skills/items briefly when you make a change - it wouldn't have made much difference, but there was 0 benefit from having the Buckle between your Shelter and Cutlass when you could have been getting +15 damage instead.
There's nothing as permanent as a temporary shelter
You have to upgrade it because it scales

yeah I saw that, and he never noticed. sometimes he notices those things after a bit or after losing but he never noticed that issue.
If it helps you, it would not have changed anything...building everything around 1 burning cutlass is really weak.
