a bit late but shotty is a instant stun unlike most and the shotgun you be trying to think is the one and only AA12 which do go BOOM BOOM BOOM :3 anyway uh suit always felt hampered for the single swing of the knifes and having 3.5 cool down for saber which I hope will change soon this time around.
Real shame it doesn't go BOOM BOOM BOOM, considering it doesn't break MA like a typical shotty. But it is what it is. I've already used it at both cost and find it to be better at 400 than 350, strangely enough (I still wouldn't mind a saber cool down change though).

Just keep in mind, it's shotgun isn't actually a shotgun so it will not break maneuver armor.
