I think most people's that can't moc just need more parts. When u first start this hobby u don't have enough of any part to make anything of value. Pab walls at the Lego store and bricklink orders online is a moc builder's must haves. As far as the rock work goes, this is probably what it would look like due to them sheering off half the rock when they were building the base(in universe) but if u want a natural look u should try to allow the vertices rows to be similar or change just slightly by the height of a plate so it looks more natural. U can tell if u did it right when u step back and see it flowing correctly
Could you make an easier step by step tutorial. If that's ok. I just think this goes really fast so is it ok if you maybe do another one and slow it down?
