- Going from 350 pounds and morbidly obese to 169 pounds, healthy and happy has been life altering. If you want to lose weight, listen to my story. Weight loss has been a lifestyle change for me. I had to get healthy or die. I chose to live. I chose natural weight loss. I am over 50 (currently 59) and have taken 21 months to lose this weight so far. You can do it too. It is not too late, you are not too big, just make the right decision and follow the hints that I used to bring me to where I am now… healthy and happy.
Amazing work , anything is possible with right perception.
You are absolutely right - if you believe in yourself and work hard, you can do it!
Ohh my word! Praise God! You’ve had a miracle in your life because of your diligence! Congratulations ❤
I’m trying to lose 25 lbs.. I’m 71 and trying to stick with this. I have not been well the last few years.. so I need this
I'm so proud of you for making this decision at your age. It is not impossible to lose the weight you want to lose. If you eat healthy and use common sense with your food and watch your food behaviours, you can lose the weight that you need to lose. Make healthy food decisions don't binge and don't have huge portion sizes. Choose fresh vegetables and proteins with a little bit of starch instead of the sugars and the flour foods. Stay away from fats and processed foods as much as you can. Drink 2 L of water a day, it will make a big difference. Then the most important thing I have to say is set your mind to do it and be stubborn about it. The older I get the more stubborn I get so I can just imagine myself at your age how determined I will be in everything I do. You've got this! You CAN do it!!!
Did you get toned up where you didn't have to get loose skin removed? You did an awesome job 👏
Great question.. I have some loose skin in the abs area and back of my arms. I am working on it to see if I can avoid surgical intervention, but it is not very bad. I will keep you all posted as to the progress of toning up after losing so much weight.
You make it sound so easy…
Honestly the hardest part is making a firm decision. Deciding to change your food habits completely was difficult for me but once I made that decision it was just a matter of determination and consistency. Yes I had cravings in the beginning but the thought of losing weight was so exciting to me that I stuck to it. Then I saw myself dropping ten lbs every month and that was a huge incentive! It got easier and easier. Hope that helps!
How old are you? I'm going to be 65 I'm afraid it's to late.
Hello Pam.. I am so happy you asked. I am 59 years old. I did not believe that I could lose the weight I have lost because of my age and my immobility for several years. But when I changed my eating to healthy only and was very determined to cut out the sugar, flour and binge foods, the weight melted off - ten pounds every month for the first several months. I also changed my portion sizes to a much smaller amount (without seconds.. or thirds).
It is about your mindset. If you believe in yourself and decide to really do your best to stick to it, you CAN lose weight.. honestly.
