Bayverse Ironhide has always been my favorite version of him. It's something about his voice, design, personality and quotes that made him my favorite character of the franchise.
They should have never killed Iron Hide. Like what is this. It didn’t make sense that he stood there too, I felt like he had a chance to move and defend himself. His personality would’ve suggested it too. But no, they killed him. They killed him.
Movie Bayverse Ironhide just wears that name PROUDLY. It was the design that introduced me to the character as a whole. He just gives off the whole heavy assault trooper vibe with his cannons and heavy armor.
I absolutely love that Season 4 Animated Ironhide design, it just feels so much like Ironhide and mixes the best aspects about his character. This is something I would've loved to seen the BB movie do with it's Ironhide design but I still very much love the BB design regardless.
BB movie needs to take more cues from the movie. Sideswipe should have wheels for feet, arm blades and an aerodynamic helmet. Ironhide should be w i d e and cannons. Mirage should also have blades.
Bayverse Ironhide was my first incarnation of the character, and he'll always be one of my favorites. Deep blue, pickup truck, awesome cannons, no fricks given. Even though those movies weren't the best, I still love their Ironhide. R.I.P., old friend.
The fact that the War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games are no longer available even digitally is a bloody crime against Transformers and gaming.

@@demonking86420 you know on their G1 toys when you transform them and they have the black seats from their original toyline? (I believe it was Diaclone) Well the black seats had weird patterns on them, and ironhide and ratchet's movie faces were based on the patterns seen on their og toys.
Would have been cool to get Jetfire, Ironhide, and maybe Jazz arrive with Ultra Magnus as a sort of mini nod to Animated but also to give some cool designs.
And the excuse behind why he wasn't in Transformers Prime, makes no sense... They didn't want Ironhide in the film, because the kids that'd just seen him die in DoTM would've been confused. Okay, cool. Makes sense and I can get behind it. But they go and upset that idea by having Starscream, Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, Wheeljack and Arcee in the show. Granted you can't have a Transformers show without Megatron and whatnot; but the argument doesn't work on both ends. Plus, they were even considering adding Barricade as a mainstay character at some point. And based on how Bumblebee is like the only one without a legitimate foe, it'd make sense.n

The original concept of the Diaclone toy was that it was a transformable mech rider that a person could ride. Safe to say it did not translate well as an independently operating Transformer toy.

Intresting thing I wanna point out here. Earth mode Animated Ironhide has a reference to the G1 toy/boxart design, if you look at his head, part of his windshield is in front of his face, just like with the G1 toy where what's meant to be his head is covered up by the windshield.
When i first saw that design, I thought Ironhide all of a sudden has like a beard. But no, thats actually just his windshield darkening his face a bit.

My favorite design is transformers prime concept art. I may not be a fan of g1 ironhide but it's a good mix of bay and g1. I'd ironhide appears in the movies again they should use that concept art
Yeah, seeing Ironhide in red for the first time was the weirdest thing. I still think his cannons should become a staple if his character, alongside Sideswipe's blades (and possibly wheels) and Lockdown's gun face.

Honestly, Sarah Stone's version of Ironhide from Windblade volume 1 would probably be my favorite rendition of the character. He's big, red, grumpy, and has a massive heart.

His animated series S4 model also has a nod to the G1 toy, with the window shield visor thing covering his lower face. It's more of a reimagining tho, similar to how the prime series reimagines the designs for Transformers.
It's funny how I loved Bayverse Ironhide cos of his cannons, but have since grown more used to him relying on hand-to-hand combat instead (with his WFC/FOC depiction being my favorite).

I like the bay design for ironhide, though I thought that he looked like his body parts were too loose, like he was about to fall apart at any point in time. It would look better if the design was more condensed; the body parts more pushed together in a more snug way.

Okay, so the original G1 toy was thrown into the trash without explaining the context, so I will explain: the reason why Ironhide and Ratchet look the way they do is because the Season 1 cast of toys was imported from Takara’s Diaclone and Microchange toylines, which had completely different lore from the Transformers. They were either remote controlled or piloted mechas. Ironhide and Ratchet obviously have seats where someone could pilot them.

Beast Wars Ironhide is actually G1 Ironhide. Apparently sometime after G1, Ironhide was brought back to life and then reformatted into this design
They never really said how he got brought back, but yes, it’s G1 Ironhide brought back (He can also combine)

Beast Wars Ironhide is either G1 Ironhide who was upgraded into a Maximal Elder or a separate character who only shared Ironhide's name.

Ironhide is another Autobot I'm biased with. My favorite designs are Bayformer Ironhide, Animated Ironhide, TFP Ironhide, WFC Trilogy Ironhide, G1 Ironhide, RID 2001 Ironhide and Energon Ironhide.
