The ad, posted on X in support of Tory mayoral candidate Susan Hall showed people panicking and rushing through New York’s Penn station after false reports of gunfire in 2017.
After commentators spotted the video about London showed scenes from New York, it was withdrawn and replaced with a video where those scenes had been cut.

Literally couldnt find a single British person willing to voice it 😂😂😂😂😂
The voice is ai.
That’s completely untrue. Why would you say such a thing?
@@Rivodus Ah, makes more sense, so they wanted to cut corners to save money by not even bothering to hire and pay a real voice actor, very conservative like 😂
Tory: in government for 14 years
Tory election ad: our country is in chaos.
Alright then, we want more of this, cheers.
Not really the Conservative Party massively grew the economy and until Covid we were one of the fastest in Europe and as I have said in this comment section people oppose any anti crime legislation
@@boomboy5546that’s just not true and other countries had to deal with Covid.
@@RUclipsmessedupmyhandle yes but equally other countries are in the same stick as we are if not worse. It is true our nation has been hard hit by the pandemic due to our service and financial based economy but if not for Covid the conservative economic policy would have continued to rise the economy as was evident through pre 2020 statistics
@@boomboy5546 Thats just not true. We had one of the slowest growing economies post 2010. If it was growing so well then why did austerity continue here until 2020?
When adjusted for inflation, we have had no growth since 2010
@@boomboy5546The conservative party brought us brexit which has destroyed 6% of the UK economy.
The Tories brexit cost more than covid. I don't call that massively growing the economy.
The conservative party has been and continues to be a massive economic disaster for the vast majority of UK citizens.
Ah so the new definition of "seized power" is "was democratically elected". I look forward to the next edition of the Oxford Dictionary.
The irony of Sunak accusing anyone of "seizing power"
You know as we all do that it is not his competence that keeps him in office.
Since he "seized" power? It wasn't a coup...
A coup can also refer to an unexpectedly successful achievement as well as an illegal taking of power. So it could be argued it was a coup for Rishi Sunak to become Prime Minister in the way he did.
@@user-hl1ex6py8l Well, I guess so. But he used the term "seized", I used the term coup. Does a democratically elected representative "seize" power? I've never heard it used like that before...
@@for111 I suppose it could be seen that way by some people given Sunak wasn't elected to the leadership in any shape or form, not by the electorate, not by party members and not even by his own MP's. Having won no vote to attain the position of Prime Minister is big problem for him because it leaves him open to such accusations , whether they are accurate or deserved is another matter.
@@user-hl1ex6py8l No, he's talking about "the Labour mayor" (Sadiq Khan), not Rishi. Khan won the election fair and square as far as I'm aware.
@@for111 Sorry mate I was talking at cross purposes. I thought you were referencing Sunak in that comment when you said coup and referenced "seized power" lol Easy mistake to make lol . Kahn was democratically and fairly elected and almost certainly will be again come May.
But the Conservative government is in charge of law and disorder. So, it's their policies that have created this dystopia
In London, the elected Mayor is responsible for the totality of policing in the capital...
@Budanevey however the law they police under are the responsibility of the government.
In my country no conservative government took control and there is not much of a change. They are all on the same boat and you are out of it.
There is only change for business owners.
People in government are blocked by the opposite side or pressured by big business. They are devoured by colleagues and the system itself.
What a load of real TOSH! HOW CAN YOU USE SOMETHING FEOM ANOTHER COUNTRY AND HOW MUCH MONEY DID THE GOVERNMENT WASTE ON THIS GARBAGE
It wasn’t even because of crime as such - it’s because people were spooked by the sound of a taser
The ‘government’ doesn’t pick up the tab for political parties’ advertising.
The Tories have £15 million from one racist doner.
She’s using KHANS tactics
The updated version is just as foul. It is absolutely unacceptable in a liberal democracy that one of our major parties would resort to such bad faith tactics.
Like the Brexit campaign
@@albiepalbie5040 Absolutely. I can still clearly remember the Vote Leave ad that showed a crowded hospital ward and a dying nan “inside the EU” and contrasting it with a non-dying nan “outside of the EU”.
Hasn’t quite worked out like that really…
This ain't far off of what could happen. London is lawless, the better sort it out better something really bad happenns. Khan one of the worst mayor's London has ever seen
@@Shads187 How many London Mayors have there been exactly, and what were their names?
Answers on a postcard please!
FFS what a mess the Tory party is in
They're on the brink of chaos!
Suppose you reckon voting is gonna fix the UK hah
@@ziepex7009 ya it will theses torys need prison time
And the Tories want to put forward a candidate that can’t look after her Oyster card properly….
Says everything about their intelligence. Didn't even have the sense to check it.
The Tories are smart enough to not want to be in power for what's coming
Fox News, UK version
That makes no sense. The ad wasn’t created by a news outlet, it was something commissioned by a political party.
even their narrator sounds american
It sounds like an AI Willem Defoe
You are more likely to be bladed on the streets of London than in New York. Because you don't live in New York...
You're not if you never visit London but regularly holiday in New York. Why are you always posting nonsense?
I think the stabbing rate in NYC is slightly higher than in London
Well said.
@@gio-oz8gf If you never visit London why would you care who is the mayor of London?
Jimmy Carr, is that you?
Susan Hall lying? Surely not! 😂
Liars
Based on?
@@boomboy5546 The ad mentions "ULEZ enforcers, dressed in black and wearing black masks". ULEZ enforcers don't exist so that's a lie.
One of the scenes in the ad is from the New York subway during the blackout in 2003, I know because I was there. Since it's implied that this is London, that is also a lie.
It says that Khan "seized power". He was democratically elected so that is also a lie. Was Sunak democratically elected? I think you could more accurately claim that he seized power but even then you'd be stretching the truth a bit.
😂😂😂 using American footage for London chaos. 🤣😂
Disgusting! Utter desperation, the Tories are despicable
Shows how easily people are controlled. Running like a herd of stampeding cattle.
Are you not?
So you’d run towards the gunshot noise?
I was there. That was the New York subway during the 2003 black out. It wasn't as bad as it looked. There were some panicking but most people just strolled out in a relaxed manner
They aren't even trying to make their lies convincing
How desperate must Hall be, to put out a Gotham horror clip in an attempt to win votes???
And she had to use an American for the voice-over!! Does she know where London IS?
I have no words!
Gosh, Khan wants to decriminalize something that is currently illegal! Of course Hall will only decriminalize things that are currently legal (and if you give her the power, I bet she'll actually try). BTW, I now live in Canada, where marijuana and derivatives have been widely legally available for some time, and it doesn't seem to have had significant social impact, although it has resulted in quite a lot of storefronts closed due to COVID reopening as legal cannabis outlets.
After Sunak, anyone would try and save face
Anyone got a link to full video?
Now type in I, PET GOAT II
Sums up the pathetic standard of politicians in general and the pathetic standard of the government party we have running this country in particular
Extroadinary! This is beyond desperate!
If it weren’t so ghastly this would be funny. It isn’t of course, but instead it’s as despicable as it is blatant.
I can’t think of a better metaphor for how the Tories have “well at least we aren’t the U.S.”-ed their way into distracting Brits from domestic issues
Have a word,
Better keep us in power ... OR ELSE
😂😂
Nuclear waste in Crown estate
What drugs are the Tory’s on ? Or is this an intentional wind up 😂
This utter tripe and attempt to fearmonger through spreading lies shows the desperation of the Tories.
Tories with no attention to detail, now that's a surprise...
Khan must go!!!
I mean, it's true either way, lol.
Someone's been watching The Last Leg 🤣Sign at top of scene says Bronx! They really are getting desperate, aren't they! Not doing themselves any favours with this campaign against Sadiq Khan. Second ad is ridiculous too. Bye bye Tories - can't wait!
lol they just had to show the reallity xD
If you haven't got a clue, but you know you hate the Browns, vote Tory.
Now you know why there was apartheid in SA
Now you know why the hard right always loses.
@@zivkovicable They lose because they have honor, and refuse to play the dirty tactics of the left.

So I don’t know much about London politics, but whoever made that video, come on, now… you didn’t think people would spot that those were New York scenes??🤣. And wouldn’t it be more compelling if a British sounding person was discussing London🤔😅
😂😂bro
Why the narrator has an American accent ? 😂
Same 'PR company' that came over the pond and worked 'for free' on the Brexit campaign?
Tbf if you listen to adverts on American TV and Radio - absolutely loads of British accents used for pretty much any product/service.
it’s a way of standing out I think and been used for decades now.
I don’t think we do it as much here with American accents but it’s done.
