    1.1 Life
Name and explain the figure of speech :-
    1) So dark as sages say
*Alliteration - The sound of letters 's' is repeated for poetic effect.
    2)Oft a little morning rain
    Foretells a pleasant day
*Metaphor - The morning rain is indirectly compared to the pleasant day.
*Personification - The rain is given the human quality of 'foretelling'.
    3) Sometimes there are clouds of gloom
*Metaphor - The clouds are indirectly compared to the gloom.(sorrow)
    4)But these are transient all.
*Alliteration - The sound of letter 't' is repeated for poetic effect.
    * Inversion - The words are not in the correct prose order. The correct order is ' But all these are transient'.
    5) If the shower will make the roses bloom
    Oh why lament it's fall?
    * Metaphor - The shower is indirectly compared to the bloom.
    * Interrogation - a question is asked where no answer is expected.
    6)Rapidly, Merrily,
Life 's sunny hours flit by
*Climax - The ideas are arranged in ascending order of importance.
*Metaphor - The merry times are indirectly compared to sunny hours.
    7)Gratefully, cheerily,
    Enjoy them as they fly.
*Climax - The ideas are arranged in ascending order of importance.
8)What though death at times steps in,
    And calls our Best away?
*Personification - Death is given the human quality of 'stepping ' and 'calling'.
*Interrogation - A question is asked where no answer is expected.
9)What though Sorrow seems to win,
    O'er hope a heavy sway?
    * Personification - Sorrow is given the human quality of 'winning ' and 'swaying'.
*Interrogation - A question is asked where no answer is expected.
    10) Yet Hope again elastic springs,
    Unconquered, though she fell
*Personification - Hope is given the human quality of falling.
11)Still buoyant are her golden wings,
Still strong to bear us well.
*Repetition - The word 'still' is repeated for poetic effect.
    13)Manfully , fearlessly,
    The day of trial bear
    * Tautology - The words 'manfully ' and 'fearlessly ' mean the same.
    14) For gloriously, victoriouly,
    Can courage quell despair!
*Tautology - The words gloriously and victoriously mean the same
