      Next year, we'll publish a video on part 7 of ISO 26262: Production, operation, service and decommissioning. This part is also on systematically analyzing safety concerns AFTER the release for production. Examining detective parts of vehicles returning from the field is a crucical contribution to this analysis.

    Can Agile methodology be incorporated in functional safety product development?

    • @KUGLERMAAGCIE
      @KUGLERMAAGCIE  2 года назад +2

      Hi Partha, yes - agile development is now common and very useful in automotive as well. But be careful not to apply the Agile Manifesto verbatim. You need to formally review and document at certain points in your development process. Otherwise, you can never get a safety case. Agile development today is mainly applied to software development. Kugler Maag Cie has set up the "Agile in Automotive" conference series especially for this topic. Greetings - Erwin Petry

      @parthasarathimishra7538 2 года назад +1

      @@KUGLERMAAGCIE Thanks. But in me experience, it seems all embedded automotive ECU development are through V-model only. Are V-model and Agile compatible with each other?

    • @KUGLERMAAGCIE
      @KUGLERMAAGCIE  2 года назад +2

      Well, almost all system development approaches are based on the logic of the v-model, that's true. If you want to use agile approaches within the framework of the v-model, you just need to rethink the scope: the v-model does not require that the process steps be performed sequentially, one after the other. You can also complete the relevant tasks that the v-model expects within a sprint. This way, you develop incrementally and deliver the appropriate results.

    Can you take an adas feature or any systems to show an example? Honestly, I dont know how to establish the fusa from the beginning. Thanks

    • @KUGLERMAAGCIE
      @KUGLERMAAGCIE  3 года назад +1

      A few years ago, colleagues of us explained how FuSa aspects fit together based on a very simple WiFi component. That was in a book. Even with this simple control unit, we would go beyond the scope of a YT video. With ADAS, we would need even more time.

    Excuse me, why are most MCU products qualified with ASIL B or D, why not A or C?

    • @KUGLERMAAGCIE
      @KUGLERMAAGCIE  2 года назад +1

      Hi there, this might be because if you have an MCU ASIL B then you can use it for ASIL A and ASIL B. As well you can use an ASIL D MCU for ASIL C and ASIL D. So you only need two variants and not four. We hope this helps you!
