Does the knife come left pocket tip down like that or did you switch it over? Do you keep your blade sheathed against the seam or do you carry it right pocket because I’ve heard of a couple people doing it and never having a problem but I’ve had a couple flippers and studs come open on me where when I sat down and moved after a while - I could feel the tip start to jab into my pocket like it could have done some terrible damage to my son if I put him on my lap 😳. I dig this a lot. Have been crushing for a while. Gonna pull the trigger soon. Wondering how the finish fades over time or if it’s chippy at all. Reminds me of a socom from photos. Thanks for the share 🤙.
I carry a knife this big in my back pocket, tip down, against the outside seem. I’ve never had any issues there. I will definitely let you know how the coating wears over time, but so far it seems pretty durable, yet not quite on the level of the Socom.
I think hogue is comparable. The Xhp from cold Steel would most likely outperform the 154cm from hogue, but the S35vn would be a bit closer probably, and I’ve gotten some good performance out of the hogue 154. Build quality is also comparable, but these are made here, so I will go hogue over CS every day if the week at this point in my collecting.
Love my hogues have ex-01 4” spear aluminum black and gmascus tanto 4” have them since beginning of last year and definitely keepers the aluminum version button lock has some stick as well but the gmascus version zero and the pivot tightened down fixes the side to side after a little thread-lock hasn’t moved since last year oh yeah they hand sharpen all the blades checkout elishewitz videos and hogue shop they show all the steps unbelievable and very family oriented. use yours in good health bro

I’m really digging it, and happy to support a company that will stand behind their product, and show it the care it deserves. Thanks man, you too
@@inthepocket7405 If you need to deploy that knife as an only option and it doesn't open in an instant cause the safety hot engaged, someone else just got the jump on you. I know a few people who experience it.

They are very similar, yet definitely have there own styles. They are both great in their own way.

mister smith this manual version I have does not lock the knife closed.... it only engages when the knife is open, and takes intent to engage.
