Everybody: They are referring to network speed, not internet speed. Your network speed is most likely 1Gb as well, that's kinda become a consumer standard. It's slow for them because they transfer their video files from PC to PC seamlessly through their own local network that all their PC's are connected to.
Hey editor, thanks for keeping the burst shutter sound in. That sound is... so good. I swear every time I use my own camera, I spend like a solid minute just taking unnecessary burst photos.
Hey Corridor Digital, I just want to say that these videos are amazing! I've been subbed for about a semester or so and watch all of your videos. Being in college and roughly 350 miles away from home really takes a toll on you mentally. Whenever I feel down, I just put on a Corridor E.O.D. vid and I instantly feel better!

Nice setup - kinda like a more complex clam shell but with more contrast on the features.
I like these little vignettes! They're vain without being cringy, so they end up parked squarely into asmr territory.
So THAT'S how you make those awesome thumbnails for RUclips (and Instagram photos as you said). Cool! Learned something new about lighting, though I wonder how people get used to staring at or around lights so often (including the cameraman).

Thats the local network speed to their file server (in the same building). 1Gbit/s is standard in all consumer uses.
They probably also have a >100Mbit/s internet connection, but thats a different topic.
I'm lucky having a download speed greater than 850kbytes/s...

Hey Cmike, Any chance you could put together a general still photography video explaining some of the things you've learned?
I shoot on a 6D and have so much more to learn and this video was extremely helpful in terms of lighting. I've even started making my own bounce board!
Wait, 100 mbps is slow for you? In Australia we have 10mbps, although it gets down to 3mbps and I'm usually fine unless someone is uploading. NBN, a new service they are rolling out for faster internet, goes up to 100mbps download and 30mbps upload.

Hey Cmike, nice lighting on those pictures. In the UK we pronounce Fresnel as "Freh-nel." Not sure if this is correct in America, unless this is one of those strange American/English discrepancies across the pond!

I haven't watched the solution yet. But his network operating at 100mbps is caused by one of the wires in the ethernet cable not being connected. It's actually really cool that they can still function when a wire drops off.
To solve replace ethernet cable, replug (to get rid of corrosion) or perhaps the damage is in the ports themselves. I don't think it'll be software related (like drivers). It could possibly be the router doing a power save mode but I doubt that.
Ok time to watch and find out if I was correct.

Check your ethernet cables if you run AC power parallel to them, perhaps tied all cables in the back together in a ponytail. The magnetic field from it will cause packet loss and prevent a full gigabit handshake. Run a "ping -t" to another computer and see if there are dropped packets.

Don't worry Jake, ive had my embarrassing moments on electronics. I was installing a new printer at a client's office, and this thing is huge. I hooked up the power and USB type B and installed the drivers onto the computer, easy no issue. They asked me to move the printer as they did not like where it was, I moved it to the corner, hooked up the power and plugged in the USB reached around back and plugged in the power and USB without being able to see the plug ins,, but the computer was not recognizing that it had a printer. I make sure the computer still had the printer plugged in, it did. I pulled out the USB in the back of the printer, which was really loose, but when I plugged it in, it still plugged in all the way, just loose. I went on for about an hour , uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, getting yelled at by the client. I finally called up my helpdesk, and they remoted in and they did not know what the issue was, I finally unplugged everything, pulled out the printer, moved it to a different outlet and re-plugged it in, and it worked! I was so confused by this moment we where thinking it might be the power from the outlet, but I thought that was crazy talk. So we moved the printer back to the place where they wanted it and plugged in the power, and went I went to plug in the USB and it firmly fit in. A second after plugging it in, crushing defeat dawned on me. I told the helpdesk that it was resolved and just hung up. I was plugging the USB type B into the network port.
TLDR, I wasted hours of a client's time due to me plugging in a USB B cable into a network port on the back of a printer.
Tunes are on point as of late gentlemen.

Yup, until 6 months ago I had max 8 mbps, then I moved and now I have gigabit for 40 euros / month
its not internet speed, its the connection speed to their file server
They're talking about local network speed. They are transferring data from their in house server to their PC and usually that connection (at least these days) is gigabit speeds

That’s just a painting they have for art. It’s mostly just to give colour to the studio but just happens to make a good backdrop.

Damn, that's a pretty good photo setup.
If all 8 pins don't terminate correctly, it'll revert to 100Mbit. I'd get a termination tool and reterminate those sockets. Buy yourself a cheap ethernet cable tester and plug it in both ends and you'll find the faulty pin, I bet one of the cables won't be connected properly. 100 Megabit (568A & 568B) , pins 1,2,3,6 are 100 megabit, so to get gigabit, 4,5,7,8 get included. On the backplate, check the blues & browns. This all rides on the fact that the switch is configured for gigabit on that port, or is unmanaged. That's to also say that you're using the 568A/B standard both sides... I've seen some dodgy cabling before.

I've gotten that weird frame jump glitch in Premiere CC too. I temporarily fixed it by reinstalling Premiere, but it came back numerous times. I upgraded my computer with an SSD about a month ago and did a fresh install of Windows. Premiere has been running beautifully even since. Maybe a new SDD would fix it? Maybe reinstalling Windows would fix it. Just some thoughts.
You should totally make a video about all of the Adobe glitches!!!!!! Just as if you're trapped in the world or whatever and all this crazy stuff starts happening or even just a dramatic "I need to make this video to save my family but everything is going wrong" video. Please please please you would do this so well and it would even let you show the cool movie makin dudes who watch this some of the common glitches from editing software and maybs how to fix it.
