Perhaps I am wrong, but it seems to me that the Bosnians bought just Talgo trainset and that they do not have a locomotive with commands connected to the train what is necessary to have a complete Talgo train. The locomotive on video seems to me an old Rade Koncar type.
Yeah the locomotive is old. I think one of the reasons is the max speed on this particular section. It would be pointless to have a fast locomotive on a railroad that has more than 23/1000 m elevation change and vmax is often around 35. But I could be wrong.
Hi, Bosnian here Our Goverment did buy the Talgo train as well, along side the trainset. And it was working amazingly for a while, but unfortunately the train had an accident couple of years ago and fell into Neretva river. It's still being restored to this day and it suffered severe damage.
Wow, what a ride! I am planning to travel to Bosnia in this fall, really looking forward to it!
Hope you enjoy it!
