First of all, I LOVE what you did in this sketchbook. This was a great concept and each of your pages was so beautifully done. I have used an accordion sketchbook before. I've found that it is good for marathon painting. What I mean by that is giving myself a 2-hour stretch where I paint from life, bringing in 8 different objects to paint, and switching from object to object every 15 minutes. I don't have to worry about flipping pages on wet paint with an accordion sketchbook. I do this with my watercolor classes once per semester and it's a great exercise, but I do have a few more accordion sketchbooks in which I'd like to try a continuous painting at some point. Maybe with gouache. Thanks for this video; it was so fun to watch!

Hullo Sarah, you put this accordion sketchbook to amazing use!! I could never find a subject or subjects to fill one up! I would have a disjointed grouping of images that never went well together! SO I have never purchased one, but have been given a few over the years. In fact ScrawlrBox has one in their current box! I hope some of the subscribers see your offering and take a cue from you! What a fun challenge. Your illustrative paintings are wonderful and I like the continuing theme elements from page to page. A keepsake, for sure! I've never used a concertina sketchbook, but I've looked at them often at my local art store. I believe artist Cathy Johnson has a video demonstrating how to make your own. Well done!

Those paintings are delightful! Such a lovely project. I have just recently bought this same exact sketchbook, but haven't been able to use it yet as the paper smells horrible. I was wondering if you encountered the same problem? I had to put it in another room and it's been airing out in there for many days but still smells so bad I can't use it. Due to that, and that the paper looks a bit thin, I would not buy it again...at least I got it on sale and didn't pay full price!
