The censorship of older films is the big one for me. With streaming you have zero control or ownership. With the current political climate, almost everything is deemed as offensive.
I disagree with the lending I agree with the uncompressed video and sound reason I agree with you about a digital movie purchase you can't sell it you can''t old it in your hands and 9 times out of 10 you could wait awhile and pick it up on disc for the same price or cheaper I agree with having your favourite's on physical media and not relying on streaming services A agree with the internet outages as well people on streaming services! want to watch a certain movie but can''t because of the outage! Me I want to watch that movie chances are I have it on disc I strongly agree with the censeorship argument I have fawlty towers on dvd and I can watch that certain episode about the germans if I want I agree with supporting the purchase of physical release's
I'm Glad you agree with some of my points I only lend to trusted people. I was gong to mention back in 2003 I lent my Lord of the Rings two towers to a friend at work and never got it back always bugged me. Luckily my mum bought me the extended edition for Christmas that year.
Agree with the not lending. I once lent a dvd copy of Saw to a work colleague. It came back with crayons drawing on it. He had the nerve to say it was an accident. And I like my collection prestine, never again 😅
