A supreme court ruling doesn't override the constitution and the law...the constitution states that Texas can defend itself against invasion; and there's definitely an invasion(that democrats want).

Governor Abbott's decision to protect Texas is not - NOT - "controversial." It is legitimate, according to Article 1 of the US Constitution. At least Abbott's correctly performing his job duties, unlike that idiot in the White House - who's never even read Article 4.
No one is declaring Abbott an idiot or uninformed but it's curious conservatives feel they must get dramatic for all these events. From blocking border security for partisan gain to this ginned up "conflict" by Abbott for the same goals. Offering the people of Texas and beyond as a sacrificial lamb for Trump to provide salvation as reward for being elected is as obvious as it is trite and it is juvenile antics like that that leave sensible Americans no choice but four more years. Federal power to regulate immigration is not directly outlined in the constitution. Supreme Court decisions have expanded that power to Congress. The debate is whether a state can act for themselves on this issue without federal approval. By all means Texas all the way, the federal govt does not need to decide each and every issue, least of all how to stop illegal immigrants

I may be wrong but my understanding is that SCOTUS ruled that USCBP is authorized to remove razor wire and other obstacles recently installed by Texas at Shelby Park. I have not heard that the ruling restricts Texas from installing additional fencing or otherwise limits its efforts to control illegal immigration. If you'll look at the Eagle Pass area on Google earth you'll see that there are at least two bridges across the Rio Grande within a few hundred yards of the disputed Shelby Park. These bridges are the conduit for legal entry. It's reasonable to assume that anyone attempting a far more difficult and dangerous entry by crossing the river into Shelby Park have something to hide. The razor wire is meant to prevent entry there, and more importantly, redirect traffic to the bridges.
SCOTUS is trying to block Texas’ ability to block illegal immigrants. They are in no way blocking legal entry. This is just federal overreach for not liking a state making them look bad
What is the thought process from this administration? What do they gain by having a porous border?
