Also Belcams Geau Intense is amazing for $9 and Yzy’s Territoire Wild is my favorite Sauvage dupe, Territoire Platinum and Territoire Desire are both amazing too and can be found for $10 sometimes. Classic Match Polo Red dupe is 1-1 as well!

The Belcam Drakkar Noir got me to buy the OG. Honestly side by side they arent much different. So good. Also Cuba Gold was great for me but had the opposite of maceration where all the sweet top notes disappeared after a couple months. Still its powdery and good. Try the Classic Match for Polo Green. Its so nuclear and the oakmoss makes it a great bathroom scent. Covers all odors with some earthy designer goodness. I use that and Puig Quorum instead of febreeze or some aerosol product

I have Pure White, but I don't layer fragrances. It was tough to find any info on that Ben Sherman though! May have to try that Cuba Gold. See Cubas all the time, but haven't tried any. All I ever hear is that they're trash, and not good. Love the channel, and always looking for cheapies.

I don't notice any green notes in the classic match drakkar noir clone or even the current drakkar noir. I always hear people say that but all I get is a hairspray smell and trust me I grew up around pine trees lol. Maybe off bottles?

Additional honorable mention is Beverly hills polo club blaze which smells like spice bomb. Lastly, theres a turkish brand called Eyfel and they have SO MANY DUPES. All solid fragrances that last around 4 hours. But they have 50ml bottles for $9.99 on their website. They were 6 bucks during black friday and i bought like 15 if them. And theyre all solid quality. 🎉

Absolutely true that Cuba Gold came out in 1979 and LeMale came out in 1995. And it was FRANCIS KURKDJIAN who cloned it. You know it's a clone because Lemale even has the mineral/soil/tincture note.

If you like Sauvage, try Primitive Man by Belcam. Maturation is de rigeur. It's very linear. If you want Sauvage opening forever then it's your jam. Cheers.
I might get Suqraat as I heard it smells like Profumo Parfum. Which means no incense. Looks like I have to get an incense fragrance to layer with. Hmmmm....

Best super Cheapie ever? Double Diamond (YZY). Alcohol harsh opening that settles in 4-5 minutes. 15 minutes later will remind of Encre Noire Lalique at about the 2 or 3 hour mark. Check Encre Noire's pyramid at Fragrantica and you'll see the top/middle/base are Cypress, Vetiver, & Cashmere - and that's largely what Double Diamond is. This is a $9 or $10 3.4/100ml, great for Winter bottle that can easily pass for a $30 fragrance. I'd call it a mild version of Encre Noire.
The whole YZY line is great. Its called: Dis-Lui (‘tell him’ in french). And can all be found for ~$12. I keep the Sport flanker in my glove box (its cheap, dont judge) for a quick spritz if i forgot to spray or want the car smelling nice.
I was big fan of vibrant leather. Used it from 2018 to 2023. And I must say its reformulated. Its trash now, longevity is very poor compared to 2018, . 2018 batch stayed on my t shirt for one summer to next summer, but now it doesnt last 1 hour. I stay away from it, everything from lattafa, armaf, afnan is waay more stronger. Zara is good to "try" some of frag clones, and based on that you can buy lattafa or armaf version, because there is many empty tester bottles in stores.

Id say cuba is 70% accurate with le male. I layer it with le male

well mine does a bit better than that.most of the Zara a weak and smell good but the lady definitely smelled it on me a couple hours after application
