This is a vlog from Europe when we went to a town called Leiden. Apparently, its where the pilgrims are from.

I was born there! :) Leiden is known as a 'student city'. A lot of famous people have studied in Leiden. Including a couple American presidents.

Of course Leiden is a very nice place but from an European perspective its features are not that rare, and certainly not unreal.

Indeed, the Pilgrim Fathers didn't flee the religious prosecution in England, but the religious freedom in the Dutch Republic. They were puritans and feared the influence of the Dutch protetstants, who weren't prudes like them, on their children.

City not real 😀 do you realize that before founding their American colony, the Pilgrim Fathers first lived in Leiden in the early 17th century. This group has no fewer than nine American presidents among its among its descendants. The University played an important role in the Pilgrims’ life in Leiden. 😀
