I got an open-box MG 300 for about 50% off. I haven't really done anything aside from strum a few chords through the factory presets. Your video tells me that, as a practice tool, this little thing is going to cover a lot of ground. Thanks, man. This is valuable information.
Mr Jimmy.. I couldn't find the "Jimmy Lin" preset on my nux mg 300 (probably because of different variation in different countries) and I could not find it on your google drive either.. Please, is there a way you could share that particular preset???
@jimmyrocks43 ohh too bad😪, really liked that tone. I kept your all your hair metal presets...But my favourites are your space presets..Would be great if you could add more MG 300 presets in your drive, your tones are unparalleled...
It depends. If you need to turn on/off lots of effects on the show, you better couple of other pedals. Because there are only two foot switches on the mg300, it's definitely limited on stage.
Jimmy- nice video. Were you playing into an Amp or Studio direct? Do you prefer the 300 to the 30? If so why? I like some amp models on the MG-300 , particularly the Vox AC 30 and Budda and cali Crunch and Soldano. I don't really like any of the Marshalls. I do like some of the pedals like the Crunch and the TS. I still use it but don't really like the recordings it makes. Maybe it may sound better through an Amp?
I like the simple use of the 300, I can quickly get the tone I want very easily. But after tweaking the 30, it does sound better. So, I must say I love both. By the way, I never used a real guitar amp with 30 or 300. Always use studio direct.
@jimmyrocks43 Jimmy thanks for taking the time to reply. I agree that the 300 still offers basically what you need. Think I'll wait a bit before upgrading to another modeller. Trident looks appealing but it's a bit expensive at the moment. I think that Nux ' Trident' is probably a bigger step forward than the Mg 30 or MG 400 was.
Thank you, Jimmy. I'm eying getting one of these, but am a beginner when it comes to pedals. Got a couple of related questions if that's OK?: Can you easily save your favourite combinations - to switch between them using the stomp button? If so, how many of these pre-sets can you store?
Salut Jimmy .
Definitely not, MG30 or something new is way better, I've had this 300 and was ok years ago but starts to show limitations, better go one step up, for real!
Thanks a lot Jimmy… I'm waiting for my Christmas present 😉 and I'll try your patches as soon as I have it in hand !

Great playing, superb tones!
Thanks. Appreciate it.
Is it good to using nux mg 300 for the stage show ?

@@jimmyrocks43 During the switch how about the delay? Is it okay comparing to nux mg 30,400?
@@104.9 If you use the same delay effect, it won't cut off the tail when you switch patches.
@@jimmyrocks43 thanks very much
Gran video...soy principiante y uso la mg300..Tengo un telecaster ¿tendrias algun consejo para sacar un buen sonido ?
Download my patches, and see if you like them.
Will your free patches work in the Nux MG30?
Nope.
Svp Jimmy tu penses que le mg 100 à la même technologie que le 300 ? Est t il comparable a pacht égal ?
I like both of them. Definitely prefer the MG-300 more.
@@jimmyrocks43 ok merci et bonne musique a toi Jimmy
do you still have patches for g5n?
Nope. Sold it many years ago...
Thanks Jimmy!
Is it better than ZOOM G1X FOUR ?
Or both same ? Dec 2024
as a beginer which one you recommend?
They just launched the MG-300 MKII.
Buy it with eyes closed .. best in the budget and punches way above its weight.
What about the latency compared to other multieffects that expensive more than nux mg300.
Check out Leo Gibson's channel. I'm not very interested in that. I just care if it sounds good or not.

Bro... between Valeton GP 100 and NUX MG 300.... which one would you prefer?
Never had a chance to try the GP100 unfortunately.
看你的影片後,上週買了mg300
有機會提供Beyond的音色嗎?
例如真的愛你或海闊天空
謝謝你已提供的很多音色
Try the "JL-Hair Band Pack".
Is it usable with an acoustic guitar?
Yes

Total of 36 patches can be saved in MG-300.

Agreed 👍 but for budget users, and simple players, MG-300 is still good enough, I believe.
