The final part on the ice is really nice... the S1 seems to be (it seems, seeing on a screen... then needs skill, and guts, of course) one of the "easier" car, when comes to drive countersteering. Quite strange, with a so short wheelbase... so as it's strange the usual "soft" trim (soft if compared with plenty other group B cars), with all those HP. By istinct, would be thought that those features can't "fit" together well... Instead... the S1 is one of the most successful car (and... from the beginning till now) Expecially when exiting the corner, full throttle, S1 is scary, for real. I wonder, being there, how much noise could make... I just can guess it by the echo before the car's coming Another powerful - and famous - car, the Delta 4WD, generally isn't capable of comparable performances, above all for roadholding and the ease control while drifting
If you look videos of walther röhrl in the audi s1 you can See Walther is always in full throttle on Track in diffrent to beres. nevertheless a good video.
So, can any experts tell me if/ why his car is tuned differently than most S1's? In all of his videos, when he lets off throttle there's much more popping and crackles, like they're adding extra fuel into the map compared to other ones I've seen on YT
The_black_Frank_White if you want to build a rep, you'll need an audi coupe, i cant remember which saloon (for the windscreen and a pillar), and theres another audi you'll need to cannibalise for bits to then build a swb shell. you will want to look at the German/Swedish/finnish cars they are where the knowledge is on these
Sorry for u TT fan Boy ;-) but that car looks 10 time better then any TT, and btw. the New TT got this engine 2.5 TFSI its nearly the same engine, only that it is stock and this in the video is tuned .....
+FireballGER as cool as the S1 was. It was very unstable even on straights. had bad weight distribution and was absurdly quick. the engine apart from being a 5 cyl + turbo is totally different

It can be hard to hear in old recordings but you chan definitely hear the growling chatter in some group b clips.
This thing spits more flames too, probably tuned different.
