My idea of heaven will be me and all the dogs I have outlived in my 71 years of life. When people fail our expectations the loving eyes from my rescue dog says it all, I Love You!!
After I lost the last pet that my children and I grew up with I was heartbroken. My family was grown and moved off and I was alone. The Holy Spirit told my heart 'They (pets) are here with Me". I guess this is one of the ways God gets old widows ready to go home- by setting their hearts on heaven.
If my dogs aren't waiting for me in heaven I'm gonna be pissed at God and we are gonna have a serious conversation...... 😇

Hang in there, our 6 yo girl is fighting end stage kidney failure but she still curls up on the bed with her head on my legs at night. I’m going to miss her but if the heartbreak is the price we pay for the years of love and loyalty, I’ll pay it every time.

Ya ive had my little buddy 19 years now and hes still in pretty good health(as well as you can be at that age bad hips,shakey legs,dry skin once and awhile but nothing too serious thank the lord.)and hes been the best friend you could ever want i,got me through some very tough times.
Everything changed after covid. If it wasn't for God and my dogs, i might have been pushed over the edge. Sold some stuff and bought a pickup for me and my dogs. The stories i could tell! God is good, dogs are the best and people are crazy.

Lost one of my fur buddies after 17 years. Two weeks later I went to the shelter and adopted a guy that his owners turned in after 8 years. I’m not judging them because I don’t know their story, but their loss was my gain. He is my new shadow and my dog girls love him. The four of us are a happy family.❤

Man, I swear you must have been spying on me and ol Bub. I was diagnosed with cancer about a year and a half ago. Had dogs most all my life but my last dog had passed away a couple years ago. Long story short I needed a friend to get through the days of facing my mortality and fate or God or whatever you attribute such things to, brought Bub in to my life. He's been a blessing and since they were going to take him to the pound I guess I have been a blessing to him as well. Beautiful song. Thanks

I’m 58 years old. We got a puppy 2 years ago for the first time. I was never a dog person. My new husband is.
Well let me tell you…. I love this little fur baby like crazy! I NEVER thought I would be a dog lover. I looked at them as stinky, but licking, droolers! lol.
Now, I’m proud to wear my new perfume….. the scent is called “wet dog” lol 😂

People get upset with me or shall I say don't understand my intensity with my animals & how I love them more than people. Oh, man, I'm so sorry. They leave such a big hole in our hearts when they go. Lost my Golden Retriever very suddenly six weeks ago. He had bone cancer, and I had no idea until I took him to the ER after a simple fall in the kitchen...so sudden, so devastating. I still can't talk about to anyone.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Interestingly enough we put our dog down on the same day but 6 years ago, Feb 9th 2018. She was my childhood dog and best friend. She was truly the sweetest and most beautiful dog, inside and out, that you could ever meet. RIP to both of our wonderful companions and I wish you the best during this time of grieving. I hope it consoles you to know that they truly never leave you ❤

I've had many dogs over years, I had to put a pit down, big moma dog, Ms Pebbles.... her body started retaining fluid at 15yrs old, nothing they could do to get it the fluid off of her. Broke my heart, old single alone, thank God for the mother that started a mobsquad of 15, pups that were claimed from different litters, the ex wife and her kids who claimed dogs and left them behind with me , when they left.... I still have a mobsquad of 14. Always a pecking order, when she passed, the war started. Now it's Ms Shelby leading a mobsquad of 14..... love this song, as an old man, and as a marine veteran ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Had to put our last Best Friend down on January 5th,heck of a way to start the new year 😢 I'm 75 my hubby is 80 n we were worried she'd outlive us. Her name was Sophie Sweet Pea Russell, only 5 1/2 yrs old, come from an over 160 dog hoard,pretty sure it was that awful 1st yr of life that took her out so young..She went everywhere but church 😢been Too many to count over this long life!! And each one has left their paw prints on our tattered hearts ❤️🩹❤️🩹 doubt it'll be to many yrs before we cross that bridge too,and it'll be good to be reunited with all of our 2legged and 4legged loved ones 💜
