Another thing that sometimes doesn't get mentioned is tornadoes that form during a hurricane. I'm old enough to remember Hurricane Camille and it was so violent that tornadoes were part of the storm.
Thank you for including Mississippi in your list. A lot of people don’t know this or MS is overlooked when both MS and Alabama have an outbreak, like April 27, 2011, MS had 2 EF5’s that day but the entire focus of that day was only on AL. We didn’t have as many fatalities but we still lost a lot of Mississippians…. We have so many tornadoes down here every year, my home alone has been hit twice in less than 8 years. Luckily those were not as violent as so many we get here nearly every year.
I 100% agree with you on this! The MS tornado if featured in this video was only rated EF3 because it didn't hit much. It likely was capable of EF4 damage imo
@@FreddyMcKinney actually, going back into the tornado a little further, it actually seemed like a relatively lazy damage survey. I've heard several reports that there was damage that wasn't even surveyed.
@@xJownage that's a problem with a lot of NWS offices apparently. The predecessor to the Smithville, Mississippi tornado on 4/27/11 (Houston-New Wren "EF3") did EF5 damage around Highway 45 Alternate (a well-traveled highway) that wasn't surveyed by NWS Memphis. NWS Little Rock apparently failed to survey all of the damage in the city limits of Vilonia, Arkansas from their "EF4" on 4/27/14.
Like 99% true it's very rare a tornado stays stationary in same spot if it's not moving left or right or getting smaller but bigger it's coming your way

I just found your channel and loving the content. This video is so cool and frightening at the same time. Stay safe out there 🙂 I'm in Oklahoma and very thankful these last 2 strong storms have missed us for the most part.
"Strong tornado" "powerful tornado" violent tornado" "tornado on the ground" and so on. I think pecos hank gave this habbit of saying the obvious a name lol
The ef4 that hit winterset iowa on march 5 2022 was a biggie, killed 6 ppl, i watched it from my front porch in town from 1/4 mile. Next say we got like 2" 0f snow. Crazy stuff
Wow tornadoes are such a beautiful and amazing thing, the way it starts, how everything rotate, how much power they have. Devastating but beautiful! Greetings from the Netherlands! You make great videos ❤
So the cornfield as you said, was unsuspecting. Can you tell me about a cornfield that was suspecting? How did you know and how can you tell the difference?
It's absolutely amazing how it can jump one house yet completely obliterate the next one but yet I find them strangely beautiful and mesmerizing that's why I love chasing when I get the chance gotta get that itch scratched every once in awhile
I may have been in a storm with a tornado but I’ve never truly seen the tornado in person. Here’s to hoping it finally happens but from a safe distance. Lol
I live in Kansas and I’ve been in everything from an EF1-EF5 and this year so far it’s just barely been missing us but our tornado season just started here in April and it’s busiest for us in May. I think this year is going to be hell on wheels... I mean it’s already taken countless lives and this next storm brewing is suppose to be much worse. Fingers crossed I am wrong.
El Rino was the widest tornado. With some controversy it was only an EF 3. This video depicts Freddy McKinney’s personal Top10 Tornadoes the he chased and filmed.
And now living in Alabama and have experienced 1 tornado and went through many many warnings and close calls over the last 10 years. I figured we’d have something this year but thankfully we have not. Even though I’m a way it would be cool to see on in a field. Lol
I just can't help but to cringe when I hear chasers say "violent" as a description for every other tornado they film. EVERY darn tornado is violent my friends especially when it destroys things.
It depends on what definition you go with. The National Weather Service classifies a violent tornado as an EF4+. It’s a way to differentiate them from weaker tornadoes. It doesn’t mean that tornadoes are weak. They’re just weak in comparison to your EF4 or EF5 tornado.
@Freddy McKinney I understand, I wasn't necessarily singling you out. I just mean chasers in general always describe the "violent motion" etc. I get that the awe of a tornado could cause you to lose your words to describe something. My main complaint is the overuse of the word it seems some chasers use it to describe anything and everything when it comes to tornados. Either way Bravo on some killer footy and stay safe out there. Thanks for the reply.
I know it totally doesn't matter to the grand scheme of things but you sure do look better with short hair! Haha. Just my opinion. More important is that you actually show the tornadoes and such without all the hullabaloo of other videos. (Like that awful Mojo channel). Okay. I think I've shown my age in this comment enough. Thank for this!
God has great plans to prosper you and not to harm you! (Jeremiah 29:11). Remember, you are loved. Even if you aren't loved by people, you're loved by God. God sent Jesus to die for the sins of the world. Those who accept Him as their savior can be saved from eternal damnation. It's about having a fellowship with God and doing His will, too. That's all I got to say. God bless.
The circulation at tornado number 7 was craaaazy! Great video and amazing editing! Keep going!
Thank you so much I’m glad you enjoyed!

Thanks for watching and yes Mississippi has some of the scariest tornadoes on earth!
Bassfield/Soso I believe was one of the most violent tornadoes on earth. Just didn't hit anything that would have EF-5 DIs.
I 100% agree with you on this! The MS tornado if featured in this video was only rated EF3 because it didn't hit much. It likely was capable of EF4 damage imo

Is it true that if it looks like the tornado is standing still it’s actually coming right at you??

They can smell us too

The cornfields in Iowa don't pay attention to the warnings like they do in Nebraska

The sub-vortices around the 4:10 mark are spooky.
The motion on the tornado towards the too around the 7:45 mark is so fast, almost movie like.

The wedge at 0.06, was that the Tescott, KS wedge in 2018? I’m pretty sure I was coming up the hill either in front or behind you.
