Stuff we use:
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z

He was born to be a director. His ears are perfectly formed for headphones.

What was the biggest mistake you made on your first movie?
Making it
The whole thing was a mistake?
@@filmcourage making it entirely with a green screen, recording everyone separately? Yes
How long did it take you to make the movie? And will you make more?
@@filmcourage about a year just putting it together, currently working on more but with less green screen this time lol
For me, making a passion project allows me to maintain motivation to finish it. But the dream of getting discovered or making money from the project motivates me to maintain high standards and not be lazy.
Not spending enough time preparing was the mistake for me. We'd sit the day before the shoot without a cameraman and we'd be calling friends to come and help because we didn't have people. A lot of props weren't done so they had to be added digitally in post, which takes an enormous amount of time (and of course money if you don't do all the effects yourself like we did). Some of the scenes still suffer because we didn't have enough time to prepare and we can't go back and reshoot now.
I just watched the trailer for his first film. It looks good (charming and cute)
The biggest mistake I made on my first movie is that I didn't start it yet...
It's coming! Keep at it Emanuel!
Haven't made my first, but am about to, thanks for the advice.
Best of luck Suning! You may get a good amount of value out of this one as well - ruclips.net/video/2Z4vHCdIKBs/видео.html
Thank you!
Same!
Great interview! He’s very handsome 😅
Why the wide lens this time around, Film Courage? Was it a tight room in this instance?
When you have all the nepotism and resources yeah you don't need to go through proper channels. You can make mistakes your whole life and you can't fail
@edward matsyshen look at his career, if you wanna call it that, with long breaks between films and with no success. Can you get away with that in your profession. He is being interviewed here for the same reason he has a casting couch
The camera position is off-putting. Very uncomfortable for some reason.
I see what you're saying. I think it's because the composition of the image is very left-dominant, and the right side of the image is the blank wall. Putting something there (even a cast shadow) would balance the image out. But, eh, who cares? I'm here for the ideas, not the image.
I noticed it within just a few seconds, too. It's a much wider focal length used here. I wonder if the room was much smaller, or the main lens that's normally used was unavailable at the time of the interview.
Alright, how closely related to Adam Sandler is Aaron?... His resemblance is uncanny.
I miss my wife
I miss her too
Mee too 😭
