Hey everyone :)
It's been so long since my last actual cover upload, so I'm happy to be back for spring break to upload a bit more for you guys!
I actually saw this film with my boyfriend two weeks ago, and, being a huge Ghibli fan, I was a bit skeptical at first. I didn't really want to watch it because the trailer seemed a bit bland to me, but the movie itself was really meaningful and heartwarming (and a bit heartbreaking, too ;__;) It's definitely not like action-oriented films by Miyazaki like Howl's Moving Castle or Spirited Away, but it's more like Kiki's Delivery Service, which is why it probably resonated with me a lot. The storyline is actually very relatable, and not very fantasy-like, so I really liked that change. I have to admit, I almost teared up during the film :'(
Anyway, this particular track really stood out to me while I watched the film...I remember when I heard it in different renditions during the movie, I whispered to my boyfriend, saying, "I'm going to cover this," haha! It has such a wonderful Howl's Moving Castle-y ring to it, and that slight Italian touch is just so amazing! Hisaishi never fails to inspire through his compositions. :) I definitely recommend it!
This is also the very first video where I thought my melodica would be fitting, so I made use of her! Her name is Melody ^_~. Hope you guys don't find my playing too bad or anything, since I've just started to really practice it.
And I wanted to give a huge thanks to everyone who gave me sweet words of encouragement on my Facebook post. Three months of not practicing viola have really been hard on me because my fingers started to feel rusty, but I hope I can get back into the pace of things soon. :) Sorry if my playing isn't up to par as other videos..I'm still practicing ;w; hehe.

P.S. - I accidentally left my Razer Krakens in my boyfriend's car...so no Krakens in this upload or any others that I'll be uploading over spring break... :( And fun fact: these headphones are so screwed up that only the right headphone works. LOL. It's so difficult to record with them, but I guess I'll have to make do with what I have~

Wow so beautiful, I really need to watch Miyazaki's latest. He never disappoints and judging by this the soundtrack is as beautiful as the other films =) Great job.

Yeah, I heard Studio Ghibli was named after some aircraft because that's a recurring theme throughout Miyazaki's films. :)

Joanna, FYI, Studio Ghibli is named after the Caproni Ca.309, a bomber aircraft from Italy. Funnily the company of the aircraft is founded by Count Caproni, one of the characters in The Wind Rises.
