Hi guys, before anyone leaves a comment, I couldn't speak in this tutorial because my neighbour’s landscaping noise outside for the past week was so loud you could barely hear me speak. So, instead of waiting who knows how many days, I decided to record it anyway!
I hope you all enjoy making these cute little gnomes, and yes, you can make them with string/cord for the beard instead if you don't have any roving wool like I used in this video. It will still look great, this was my preference as I am making these as gifts.
If you are new to macrame or need extra help with these knots used in this video, please watch these videos before you begin:

Here is one for the Gathering Knot as well:

Here is a link to the 6cm metal rings: amzn.to/40Oo9h5
Here is a link to the 4mm string I used: amzn.to/49HwCXj
    MEASUREMENTS:
    Length: 9inches - 22.5cm
    Width: 3 inches - 7.5cm
Here is exactly what I used:
4mm singly ply string cut to the following lengths:
    18 x 24 inches / 63.5cm
    1 x 40 inches / 101cm
Thin Jute twine, about 24 inches / 61cm
    Wooden bead: .75 inch / 6mm
    Metal Ring : 2.25 inches / 6cm

So my ring is a bit larger (7cm) and 18 cords aren't quite enough to cover the ring. Can I add a couple cords without messing up the square knot pattern?

    • @soulfulnotions2648
      @soulfulnotions2648  2 года назад +1

Yes, that is totally fine, so long as it is an even number of cords. (Each square knot uses 2 cords) it should work out:)

Thanks! I'm a newbie to macrame and love your video instructions - so clear and concise! And I like both the on-screen written instructions and the fact that I don't have to convert all the cm/mm to inches/feet!😉
