Odin also insighted frenzy on the battlefield. Oðinn comes from Oðr which means "mad" as in crazy. Oðinn in turns means "the mad one" and thats why Berserkers where connected to Odin. I also wouldn't call Odin a protector of warriors as he wanted the strongest to die so he could have them in Valhol. But all that being said great video I enjoyed watching it.

My question is with guan yu. Since the dude was actually real. Would that mean we get to see someone transcend from mortality like Kratos did from his new perspective or will he interact with someone who had a similar birth but a completely different way of doing it. Kratos one main army who destroyed everything in his way. Guan yu leader of man and an extremely calculated mindset
Hell they’re both spear mains and even that is fundamentally different. Kratos a javelin. Easy, adaptable, quick and brutal. Guan yu a crescent spear. Finely crafted, powerful, sweeping and hard to use.
Just like him and tyr (diplomatic adventurer who used spear and shield) their interactions would be fascinating to watch

it's interesting seeing Ares/Mars being seen by the Romans as a protector and fatherlike figure (likely due to their conquering efforts and warring spirit) especially since there is a story where Ares' daughter is assaulted by the son of Poseidon, and Ares in turn kills him before being put on trial where he is absolved of wrongdoing. One of the few times where assault against women in ancient Greece is treated as a bad thing and not their fault, so it's good to see Ares spearheading that representation from way back then

Well Guan Yu’s military record wasn’t that perfect for sure. His most notable victories were killing Yan Liang and defeating Yu Jin; though the latter victory was possible because of an unexpected flood. He also lost to Li Tong in 209 when he was ordered to block Cao Ren’s retreat from Zhou Yu. Then, he lost to Yue Jin and Wen Ping at Nanyang in 210. He lost Guiyang, Lingling and Changsha to Lü Meng in 215. Lastly, he lost to Xu Huang at Fan Castle while losing the whole of Jing Province to Lü Meng 219.
Most of the exploits that made him famous as God of War comes from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong and his honorable loyalty to Liu Bei. Cao Cao who ruled 1 of the 3 kingdoms admired and respected him a lot. Nonetheless, his story is greatly exagerrated by the author.
As for God Guan Yu, he is a saint of war in Taoism and a Bodhisattva in Buddhism
From the notion of Buddhahood, the Nirvana state which according to Buddhist teachers is transcendence of all concepts and boundaries and ascension to a state of absolute boundlessness existing outside of all of existence, all concepts and dimensions that make one essentially Omnipotent,Omnipresent, and Omniscient.

Historically speaking the concept of the Abraham's God (Yahweh in Hebrew language) was from the pantheon of Gods from Israel where Yahweh wasn’t the only God and it wasn’t even the creator God as how scripture based on that Abrahamic God describes him to be. Yahweh was from Canaanite religion which a pantheon of ancient Semitic Gods. But just like any other ancient civilization that used to go to war, the Abraham's God was also a warrior God, (God of wars/divine warrior) and earlier, he was a god of storm along with Hadad, Baal, Teshub
Yahweh later became the God of the Bible, the creator God

So, such an amalgam, without reason to exist...
Perun, the thunder and war god. The Baltic name Perkūnas (through the body, as a lightning strike would, as the meaning of the name-term is thunder with lightning) , BALTIC, not slavic. As these are not the same demographics and people.
The description is the same. Though his nemesis as mentioned here exist in that form just in the Baltic pantheon. And it is Velnias, Velinas, Vėlius. The chtonic god of underland, bogs, and mischief.
Though, the balts, Lithianians in particular, have another demigod of war, literally called Fight. The name coincides with the month of march, in Lithuanian, called Kovas. Which means fight.
Not much is know about this one.
