This video gave me such a sense of calm. It's so relaxing and enjoyable to watch. My husband and I went to Crazy Horse and the Theodore Rosevelt monument during our van life adventures across the US. This video brought back all of those memories close to my heart! There's just something about the earth and being so connected with nature. It's how we were meant to be. This concrete, payment filled, suberbian, citified world is not a world of life, its too clustered, chaotic and fast paced. Love the realness and beauty of the true natural world you display in your videos and I hope your views skyrocket! Don't give up building your audience as you all have so much to give through these beautiful videos. As for reccomendations from a fellow equine lover- there's a place in North Carolina called "Love Valley" I've heard it's amazing as it's an old western town where you can ride your horses through it and experience what it was like in the Wild, Wild West. If you're feeling like a long road trip, I think it would be a great place to make memories! It's on my own bucket list. Happy Trails ya'll! 🐴
Wow thank you so much! The black hills really are such a special place. And I agree, the jungle of noise and concrete is not the world we want to live in. We hope we can offer an escape for people who are stuck in that lifestyle but dream of wide open spaces and living closer to the land ☺️ that place in N.C. Sounds amazing! If we ever end up over that way we will definitely check it out!
How magical to be out there with bison 🦬 and your little herd. Weather was wild but you all came through brilliantly. Well done keeping your nerves, bet you had a couple of beers that night. ❤❤
Thank you so much! It was a really neat experience! (Especially after the fact 😂) it was awesome to see the bison running into the storm! ☺️ thank you for watching and taking the time to leave us a comment!
Wow, 1st time to find y'all! Looking forward to back tracking through other videos and learning more about you two. So beautiful and love seeing mule riding!
Just found your channel. Wow, what awesome video you guys have! Wondering what cameras you use. The adventure was super interesting even for a motorcyclist like me! I understand how you enjoy the outdoors! Well done!

Black Hills is maybe my most favorite area in this country, mind you I still have a lot of ground to cover, but the Hills will always be towards the top of the list. I've never had the opportunity to do any trail riding. I've hunted there multiple time so have covered much terrain on foot, mostly southwest of the Deerfield area and west of the Rochford area. If you ever get back check out the Spearfish Canyon, maybe have a lunch at the Moonshine Gulch Saloon in Rochford, definitely an experience. Thanks for the ride Al
The black hills really are just a special place! Thank you for the suggestion! We will have to stop in there if we go through that area ☺️ thanks for watching!
Not anything crazy that I can think of… that particular storm was a little worrisome because lightning was striking the ridge line across from us which is when we bailed down into the draws. We also had that herd of cow and calf bison come stampeding up to us trying to get out of the storm. We didn’t catch it on video but we thought they might run right through the mules lol we did our best to stay out of their way and give them space haha. We’ve gotten into some deep snow before on the mules and that wasn’t fun. We got them turned around and out of it but we felt bad for that… we couldn’t tell how deep the drift was and it was WAY deeper than we thought. Thankful all was okay.
Have you ridden Hells Canyon or Mt Rushmore? Those are both near Custer too. There are many horse campgrounds nearby. What time of year were you riding ??
So nice to see someone out who wants to see/admire the bison without disturbing them. Some of these people who go to Yellowstone and just get out of their cars and march right up to the bison there are just unbelievable. They think the bison are going to welcome them I guess.
lol yeah I just drove through Jackson the other day for work and it was ridiculous. A bison herd was crossing the road and everyone was out taking pictures making them nervous. No one knows how to drive through a herd, when to wait or when to go 🤦🏼♀️😂 The bison in Custer are rounded up by horseback every year so they seem to have some respect for equines but we wouldn’t push it. We just try to admire them from a distance 😂👍🏼
Great video I'm not a horse person but in a previous video you said how sure footed a mule was compared to a horse and after watching this video you can see the dif between the two. Also who was the artists music you used great music

We use a subscription for our music so that we can post our videos without copyright issues, I’m not sure you can find most of the songs elsewhere but the one with words in this video is a song called “Troubles” by Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors. Thank you so much! That’s awesome that you guys live in the black hills- we love that area 😊 Alyssa rides a McCall saddle with quarter horse bars- it works pretty well because her white mule has a “horsey” shape. I use a Hud Roberts saddle with mule bars for my dun and it works pretty well and it was fairly affordable. We’d love to go have our mules measured for custom saddles one of these days 😊 And Alyssa’s hat band is from her friend at spruced plume- she’s an awesome lady and all her hat bands are all hand made in Wyoming 😊

Went through custer st. Park last September . 2023 . On my Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle . Scenery , Buffalo , mules , etc.. good ride . Got rained on before i got to sturgis , got dried out overnight . 😅
I've packed into the eastern Sierras north of Bishop, Calif with horses and mules for week long trips. I'd like to try the Bob Marshall Wilderness in Montana. Packing in or just riding those areas is amazing; the sights, sounds and smells ! Thanks for sharing your rides, it's almost as good as being along.🇺🇸🐎☝
That’s awesome! We hope to explore that country some day (both the Bob and the eastern sierras) 😊 Thank you so much for watching and taking time to leave such a nice comment. We really appreciate it! 😊
. The one thing about the Sierras, the elevations going over the passes, you're up over 11,000 ft.. We always used the Rock Creek Pack Station stock because they were acclimated to the high altitude . It is truly inspiring to be "on top of the world " on horses and mules !
What an absolute great video .. one of your best .. what was the music in the video, if you can remember .. as always, I enjoyed the watch .. and YES, I enjoyed the commentary.. Onward and Upward is Still the Watchword !!
Thank you so much!! I can get the song names and artists for you, I’ll have to look them back up I can’t remember off the top of my head lol! We have a subscription to a site called musicbed.com so we are able to license music from there so that its copywrite free on RUclips ☺️👍🏼
I do a lot of tractor riding and keep my earbuds in .. I like the old cowboy music.. was just wondering if it may have been someone I could pull up on Spotify .. please don’t go to any trouble .. God bless ..
Love watching you all ride your mules through our country's parks. Which seemed to be great parks for mule rides. We never had any mules the family my brother had horses that's about it but we always loved mules

Your original video of this trip was very good and this one was even better. It was great to see all the critters, but my daughter and I agreed that the critter at 4:33 was the best one. She thinks that he is a handsome guy!

Saludos y vendiciones desde Jalisco Mexico 🇲🇽 ❤, gracias por sus videos nos gustan mucho
Thank you so much for watching and leaving such a nice comment! We really enjoy making these little videos 😊
Butifull country did a little Riding in my 20s now 65 , I think everyone should experience riding , and that country with all that wild life , Gods country alright 👌
I totally agree! Working with equines is such a refreshing experience! I hope everyone who has the desire gets the chance to ride at least once 😊
Love your animal with the black tipped ears. So striking. Looked a good time at Custer. On my list.
Thank you so much! That was a really enjoyable trip 😊 I hope you make it out there some day.
Beautiful but not true…??? Yellow stone do own its own majesty or majestic things….
They definitely have their own pros and cons 😊
Watching in Sydney Australia
Do you know why there are so many dead trees in Custer State Park
Fire and beetles
If you are ever heading east thru Cody, Wyoming. The😮 Museum of the American West is fantastic stop. It is 5 museums in 1 and will eat up am😮 entire day. Highly recommended. Keep working your plan.
We didn’t get a chance to stop by there last time we were through but it’s definitely on our list next time!! 😃 thank you so much!! 😊
Wow just beautiful ❤
❤️ we can’t wait to go again! ☺️
@@MTN_BUILT I bet it was stunning ride
Oh wow truely amazing ride. Tracey(Australia)
Thank you! We already can’t wait to go back! 😊🙌🏼
It ought to be against the law for people to have that much fun
Chickasaw state park in west TN is a really good park to ride,
Land between the lakes is a great park also for ridin
Haha! It was such a fun trip! And thank you for the recommendations- we’ll have to look them up! We’ve never been that far east, but we’d like to make a trip one of these days 😊
I hear Dalmatians are good with horses, do you think they’re good with mules as well?
I would think so! Although mules are a little more prone to be aggressive towards dogs, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind 😊
Beautiful place. Great camera work. A little different have riding mules and a pack horse. Usually the other way around lol!
Haha yeah it is! 😂 thank you so much! 😊
Certainly, obvious as to why you need mules. Great video!
Thank you! That was sure a fun trip and we’re excited to get back over there one of these days 😊
Great video! But the poor babies need shelter and drying off ;(
The mules? They have shelter….
Went through custer st. Park last September . 2023 . On my Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle . Scenery , Buffalo , mules , etc.. good ride . Got rained on before i got to sturgis , got dried out overnight . 😅
Haha what an awesome trip! Did you ride up the needles highway? I bet that would be fun on a motorcycle!
Yes I did the needles, loved it . Rained at mt. Rushmore on me . Cloud cover over the president's . No Scenery there
You guys are awesome...keep up the good work...I wish you had a 800 number to order merch on
Thank you!! We appreciate the thought regardless!! ☺️
We hope to explore that country some day (both the Bob and the eastern sierras) 😊
Thank you so much for watching and taking time to leave such a nice comment.
Great video…you have a new subscriber.
Awesome! Thank you so much for watching and taking time to leave a nice comment 😊 That was a super fun trip, and we’re already excited to go back!
Loved the video!!
Thank you so much! We appreciate you taking the time to watch AND comment! ☺️
Nice video! Glad to see you guys enjoying life!
Thank you so much! We’ve been super fortunate, and that was a really fun trip 😊
Another awesome video and we have three different bags of Cafe Mule headed to Kentucky!
Thank you so much! And very awesome! It’s great coffee and supports a really great longear loving family ☺️
Seem like just horse riding club …
There’s a lot of people who go to the Black Hills without horses too 😊
What an absolute great video .. one of your best .. what was the music in the video, if you can remember .. as always, I enjoyed the watch .. and YES, I enjoyed the commentary..
One of your best videos. Great edit. Like the trail riding.
Thank you so much!! 😊
Beautiful peaceful area that’s the part of hunting I enjoy most the scouting 😎😘
It’s fun to watch the bison calves 😃
@@MTN_BUILT oops I hit the wrong emoji it was supposed to be this 😎🍻
I’d love to share the trail with y’all sometime.
We would love that! 😊🙌🏼

Awesome👍
Thank you! That was sure a fun trip! 😊
🇧🇷✌🏻
😊👋
Love watching you all ride your mules through our country's parks. Which seemed to be great parks for mule rides. We never had any mules the family my brother had horses that's about it but we always loved mules
Thank you so much! It really was a great park for riding… we already can’t wait to go back! 😊
Horses and mules are both great! There’s something refreshing about spending time around good equines 😊
Gonna try bicycling through the area.
That would be so fun! Enjoy!! 😃
How your take one more aditional horse
@@Pathiranagsjs I’m not exactly sure what your asking
@@MTN_BUILT why three horse?
@@Pathiranagsjs the one being led is young and wasn’t started under saddle. She went just for the experience to get her used to everything in preparation to ride her later ☺️
@@MTN_BUILT i lke to be horse like your horse.....you can ride on my back
@@MTN_BUILT i like to be your horse and you can sit on my back...
My dad visited Custer State Park many years ago. I hope to get there one day. I really enjoy your videos!
Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 I hope you get to go some day! We really enjoyed it and we hope to go back soon! It’s a great experience with or without equines 😊
Beautiful !! I live vicariously through you guys and maybe one day my mule and I will do this too
Awesome! Thank you so much for watching 😊 You will definitely do it one day 😊🙏🏼
Your original video of this trip was very good and this one was even better. It was great to see all the critters, but my daughter and I agreed that the critter at 4:33 was the best one. She thinks that he is a handsome guy!
Hahaha! We just give Squirrel a treat and told him he has a NM fan club! 😊🙌🏼 we were talking about how different he looks now compared to in the video… his hair is much longer now!
@@MTN_BUILT If he gets a treat every time we compliment him, he'll be getting a ton of compliments! Make sure Yeti is spoiled as well.
Haha! Sounds like a plan! 😂🙌🏼 They both get plenty spoiled 😬
I just found your channel, and I am pleased that I did. Mules are my love. And the country you are riding in is awesome. I am going to enjoy watching all your content and catching up. I don't know the names of your mules YET, but they are gorgeous. Awesome channel.
Awesome! Thank you so much for taking time to leave such a nice comment- we really appreciate it 😊 We feel so fortunate to have our mules and to get to live here in the mountains 🙏🏼😊
