Thank you so much for watching and taking time to leave such a nice, encouraging comment! We really appreciate it 😊 We’re having a blast learning how to video and edit our little trips- hopefully we’ll continue to learn and improve as we go!
Relaxing, enjoyable video. The way you share the mic and camera keeps it interesting, especially the beautiful views and history lessons. I came here for the mule's but enjoy getting to know you both. You're a cute and interesting couple that's doing life in an amazing way.
Wow! Thank you so much 😊 We’re having a ton of fun making and sharing these videos. And it’s nice because all our family (back in Oregon) gets to keep up on our shenanigans! 😊
I've been enjoying your videos. They are great for binge watching on lazy days. I was down to visit your dad last weekend. We worked on my truck and spent the evening playing guitars. I haven't met you Jason, but I think it's safe to say I love you guys. God bless you both. Uncle Chris
Thank you so much! That was a really fun trip 😊 We’re so thankful for our mules and for the time we get to spend with them in the mountains. Thank you for taking time to watch and leave such a nice comment 😊
It is! 😃 and yes! There are animal shapes in some too there are rocks called monkey rock, elephant rock and chicken rock. Because they resemble the animal! We saw chicken rock but it was too far to get good footage of.
Just watched… oh what beautiful country up there loved the ride . The mules are looking great Thanks for the history lesson. LOL the California folks are flocking back to Idaho to get ….. that getting away from everything and everyone ya’ll have. Loved the ride.
@@MTN_BUILT honestly thank ya’ll I watch yours and several other UTube Shows on ranching and such . Always in the high country. I watch while I am doing my nebulae breathing treatments. Here in Norway many people have the US as a dream travel destination, and they want to go to places like LA or New York. I dream of traveling to the US too, but my dream has always been to go riding in the American wilderness. Until that dream comes true, I’m so happy to watch your RUclips videos 😊
That is SO COOL!! 😊 I hope you get to come one day. If you are drawn to the wilderness, I’d put Yellowstone National Park on your list too 😊 Thank you for watching and taking time to leave such an encouraging comment!
What a great video. My kids especially enjoyed it! My daughter's history curriculum went over the gold rush last year and she loved the facts you mentioned regarding that time. Keep up the good work ☺️
That’s so awesome! This comment makes us super happy 😊 It’s so fun to hear that your whole family watched it. Thank you for watching and taking time to leave such a nice comment!
@@MTN_BUILT it’s so unique! I really like it. I’ve only been down there twice though. I’m teaching my daughter to ride right now and hoping to take her there soon.
Great narration with good facts and fabulous scenery coffee looked good it made me have a cup I enjoyed that very much thanks oh what were the cows doing there they seemed to have free range and I guess the dogs couldn't run free or had to be on a leash where did they stay on the ride thanks kray
Thank you! Alyssa really enjoyed doing all that research- it’s super interesting 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed your coffee- I literally can’t make myself go to work without it these days lol 😬 My guess is that they let the cows eat the grass down in the campground early in the season, before there are a bunch of guests every day. And yeah, the poor dogs had to be on leash the whole time, so they couldn’t go on the rides with us. We just leave them in the back of the horse trailer with water and they do pretty good (other than they bark at strangers walking by) 😬
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 😊 That was a really fun little trip! It was way prettier than we even expected, and the history was a really cool surprise!
Well worth the wait. Sorry you didn’t have the room to setup your Roamin’ Home Tent. Maybe next time. Some of that country looks like the PJ country my uncle’s ranch is in near Corona, NM. It use to be incredible mulie country but lions and coyotes have ruined that and, in some years, been hard on cattle. I think those cows were certain the hay was really for them and were willing to prove it! Keep ‘em coming!
Thank you! Thats super cool that your uncle has a ranch in country like that! We love that high desert-type country… I can’t put my finger on why we like it so much, but we sure do! 😊 It seems like muleys are just fighting an uphill battle everywhere… if it’s not predators, it’s hard winters, and if it’s not hard winters, it’s dry summers 😕 Haha! Yeah, those cows just walked right into camp! Squirrel was offended lol
Love watching your videos. I have family up in Idaho and have been able to go hunt a couple times. You guys should come down and hunt wild hogs with me and my wife. We ride mules hunting all the time
Them sure are some pretty mules you have, you're lucky to have them, as mules are getting harder to find that people will part with. And I hear that they are expensive.
Great video once again! It felt like longer than 8 days till your last video😂. You go to very beautiful places. Would you ever consider getting a drone for some aerial shots? Also is there a plan to get Clyde to stop kicking reata or is it something you just have to deal with?
Thank you! 😊 Yes, we’re super fortunate to get to live and ride where we do 🙏🏼 I actually have a drone, but I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to fly it in the park. We’re hoping old age and general “chillness” will help Clyde not kick at the others when he gets riled up lol 😬 We don’t really know what to do about it other than make sure they have room to be away from him. It’s weird because he doesn’t do it at home… just when he’s out of his comfort zone 🤷🏻♂️
That’s a good question, Kray. If they got away, they probably wouldn’t go very far in this situation… we’d just let them settle down for a minute and then we could catch them 😊 One of our biggest fears is them getting away in the middle of the night in the backcountry… a lot of times they’ll go clear back to the trailhead when that happens. It hasn’t happened to us (yet), but they say if you pack long enough, you’ll eventually have some leave camp 😬
Solid Video...both of you together, are creating some knock-out video's. It seam like you don't cinch up to tight or I just see it that way ? How do you make your Cowboy Coffee with a filter or with the grounds floating around in your cup, like in the ruff & tuff Cowboy days...lol.
Thank you so much! We’re having a blast trying to figure this RUclips thing out 😊 And good eye! We both conch up really loose at first, then we tighten our cinches gradually a couple times before we hop on. It’s just a little more comfortable for the mules that way. And we actually use a French press when we’re camping… it works pretty good! 😊
Thank you so much! 😊 We feed Purina Ultium Competition to the adults and Purina Ultium growth to the youngster 😊 we don’t feed a ton of grain, but they sure enjoy it!
Beautiful country! Some of the areas you were riding through remind me of the Alabama Hills in Lone Pine, CA. Do you ever make it out to Mule Days in Bishop?
Oh neat! We really enjoyed that trip. No, we haven’t made it to Bishop…yet! We really want to go though. We love even watching it on RUclips- I can only imagine how fun it would be in person! 😊
I can't quite recall, was it the sublett cutoff where the California Trail split from the Oregon Trail? I know it's somewhere in south-central Idaho. Either way I love this kind of thing!
Hi! Can you show us how do you make that tree line? And what equipment do you need for that purpose. I can’t ser it in the vídeo. It’s like a metal thing on the rope. Thanks!
I’m so glad you’re enjoying our channel! We’ve enjoyed the process of making RUclips videos so far 😊 I use a HUD Roberts (HR Saddlery) mule saddle. It’s pretty nice and it was relatively affordable 😊
Love the saddle pads you use ❤the bubble gel pads just makes me mad, its like running around in plastic underwear for a human. I don't believe that people that claim to know horse's are using gel pads 😢😢😢😢😢
I agree, wool is wicking and keeps them comfortable it seems! Those neoprene and gel pads have them so hot and lathered under there, it can’t be comfy!
