Thank you for uploading, I've been looking for this for years. I must have seen this 37 years ago for the first time. Could not remember anything about it, name, tv station, anything. This has been is ingrained in my childhood memory.
In the original story, Prof Krebnickel was recapturing an escaped black hole. At the same time, human and dinosaur Walter found the professor's Xenon glasses and looked at a lizard in the park. When Krebnickel and his computer successfully secured the black hole in the middle of the night, it triggered the switch between the two Walters. When Ralph and Walter visited Krebnickel, Walter tried to cross back to his dimension through the black hole using a helmet but was stopped by a barrier. The dino Walter was on the other side. Both Walters found their own pair of Xenon glasses by the barrier and brought it back to the lab. Krebnickel figured that all Walter has to do to return is to recreate the circumstance that sparked the switch but he has to use the Xenon glasses to look at the exact lizard he saw before. Walter, Ralph and Krebnickel try to capture all the lizards in the park to find the right one. Walter's disguise was accidentally knocked away when nature protesters were outraged at their lizard collecting. Heminglass then kidnapped Walter, with the right lizard being brought along too. Heminglass also stole scrolls that Krebnickel lent to the library and the lizard knocks some Tabasco sauce into the 'ye olde growth' mixture that Heminglass was trying to recreate. The formula worked and the lizard grows to the size of a gator, resulting in Heminglass being knocked out and Walter riding the lizard all the way back to the lab, scaring dinosaur civilians in the process with his scary human teeth and nails. Krebnickel makes a growth antidote to shrink the lizard and Walter looks at it with the Xenon glasses and is returned back to the human world. Krebnickel tells the media that the 'dinosaur' sighting in the park was a publicity stunt for a Dinosaur Day hosted by Heminglass so Heminglass was forced to donate his research on dino Walter to the library. Ralph and Walter enter the dino costume contest. Ralph wins stuffed tricatops for second place and Walter wins first place and gets a model "your very own dinosaur world" diorama set.
A long time ago, I saw the book that this cartoon was based on the shelf in the library. I couldn't remember the title but the cover and the art stuck with me over the years. When I saw the title and the thumbnail for this video, I did a quick google search and sure enough! This was it! Thanks for posting this.
Jimmy Greene I was so desperate to experience this story again as a little kid that I asked every library and book store about it. It was my very first “I can’t describe this without sounding like a crazy person, no wonder no adult believes me.”/“Literally nobody believes me so, jeez, maybe I did dream the whole thing?” experience. I was seven.
Thanks for uploading this. Haven't seen it in 30+ years. This also helped me accurately find out who was voicing Dr. Hennenglass whom I had mistakenly thought was Rene Auberjonois for about the same amount of time.
Im being grateful for today only! On account of better animal!-rights. More to life than helping humans got that human, behavior. (!) Is for greatness in my case. If any! Nature wants to punish us humans I understand., if I can just get off my chest I'll just say I'm up for debate when I say back in these days we made life simple.
I remember watching this by accident when I was 12. I’ve been trying to figure out what this was and to see it again... there’s also an episode with a dog that was hilarious... I just remembered one part. He was walking up and a female told him you don’t have to come and see me but at least come and see the babies... he said hey you can’t prove those pups are mine and they showed the puppies and everyone of them looked just like him
Hi, Can you find and upload the 2 CBS Storybreak Episodes: The Great Ringtail Garbage Caper, and The Pig Plantagenet. Please, let me know if you have them.
@@kristinalarson1278 It was actually Zane Kessler as Heminglas, he was a in a lot of Mel Brooks movies. Hamilton Camp was Dr. Krebnickel, Chad Sheets was Walter and Carl Steven was Ralph. (Chad died of cancer at 26, Carl OD'ed at 37).
@@MisterMelange Thanks--Heminglass' voice did remind me a lot of Gargamel (who was voiced by Winchell) from The Smurfs. I think Hamilton Camp did a lot of voices for Hanna-Barbera; CBS Storybreaks was from an H-B studio from Australia IIRC.
Now THAT is what I call awesome, how you retrieved this episode by repairing a damaged VHS tape. This is probably too much to hope for but...the episode known as What Happened In Hamelin didn't happen to be on there too, did it? I've been hunting that sucker down for years and it eludes me to this very day...
OMG!!!!! I'VE WAITED 30 YEARS FOR THIS TO COME UP ONE DAY!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!
They used to play this all the time in Dubai back in the early 90s. The opening is 80s as fuck.
Oh and we're both lucky motherfuckers to find it here!. I saw the Arabic version only the same time you did.
i hope one day the complete series dvd set will come soon some day
Ikr?
I've been looking for this for years. So amazing to see it in such good quality, too. Thank you.
That's a perfect intro to a book without spoilers.

I used to watch this show every Saturday morning. Thanks for posting this. :)

Thank you for uploading this piece of Forgotten television.
Thank you for uploading this. I've remembered this episode for 30 years but could never remember the name.
Thanks, I remember this as a kid. It was a great book as well.
It took me about 3yrs to remember the name lol.

I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY! I KNEW THIS WAS SOMETHING I SAW AS A KID! THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THIS UP!
In a way this was my first introduction to the multiverse theory.
and just like that we the kids of the 80's were taught Multiverse theory
The Nostalgia is so intense

Great memories of my childhood!
wow - so you found it too hey? i remember this episode in particular on znbc
I know, same!
this should be a real show
The text on the newspaper is upside-down and seems to've been copy-pasted from a textbook.
Finally!!! Thanks so much for uploading this!
All of Steve Senn's books were awesome, but this one blew me away as a kid. THANK YOU for uploading this!
Fozbek returns to his own universe out of harms way
My favorite cartoon series of all time!!
They simplified the cartoon. No Xenon glasses and looking at the special lizard like it was in the book.
This should be turn into a movie.
Hi,
Can you find and upload the 2 CBS Storybreak Episodes: The Great Ringtail Garbage Caper, and The Pig Plantagenet.
Please, let me know if you have them.
The ending credits had not appear in this episode.
He said people not dinosaurs
I'm about to ruin everyone's memory of this: EVERY ACTOR from this cartoon is now dead, even the two kids.
Well it was made in the 80's plus a lot of these VA's were veterans by the time this was made.
True, but the two kids died young. Cancer and drug overdose, pity.
Who are the voice artists? I recognize maybe June Foray as Aunt Alice (Ralph's mother), and was Paul Winchell Dr. Heminglass?

Sorry, everything else on there was stuff already on RUclips (Zucchini, Hank The Cowdog, Chocolate Fever)
And thus my pursuit goes on. I don't know who but SOMEBODY out there MUST have it...
Ummmmmmm tf
The rest of the episodes missing will never be found
@@mrnobody2018 What makes you so sure about that?

Bless you for uploading this. I have waited years and years to see this again. I only saw it once as a child and it has haunted me. Thank you.
