I would say bigger hitbox like alex should reach the enemy at round start with lariat heck make it reach half screen because alex always needs a buff ALWAYS

All those other examples don't have nearly the range of Alex's lariat and/or they don't have a command grab to mix up with and/or they can't AA with it. Alex can just throw out this one button and cover all the bases that other characters would need 3 different buttons for and he STILL gets more reward than they do for landing it. It naturally combos into HP flash chop > EX backdrop for 300 damage and oki with NO crush counter.
