@@Jedi_LukeMine doesn't vibrate at idle, and it shifts fine...but when I hit a bump it sounds like metal to metal. I looked this video up because I was sure it was a mount, but after seeing your reply I'm not so sure now
@@malakis7370 Honestly you're better off letting a professional diagnose it, that way you're wasting time and money throwing parts hoping to fix the issue. Even if you do the repair yourself, it's better to at least know the exact problem.
What was your symptoms for bad motor mounts. Our 2019 is making a weird vibration / grinding sound when cruising about 45mph, and at hight speeds. From what I read it could be bad mounts not controlling the vibration with VCM change cylinder control.
Symptoms were a noticable clunk when shifting from park to drive, and also at each of the first few shifts while driving. Vibration at idle while the car is in drive and foot on the brake.
Hi, thank you for showing us this. I have 2016 Honda pilot I’m experiencing shuddering vibration on acceleration comes n go. I really don’t know if it is the mounts but upon checking the cv axle it looks fine. I’m thinking it’s the mounts after seeing ur video. Thank you again
What would be a sign of a bad mount if I take the mounts out? Also I can hear some kind of sound on driver side. Really don’t know I have to check? Thank you
What is the sign of bad motor mount? I took my car to get my brake changed which I know I can do it except for tiny screw they hold the disc. Scared to strip it. Anyway shop mentioned I need motor mount. Maybe u can guide me before I let then do the job.
2017 and already have problems with a engine... I have 2016 pilot . Already change the engine. When got this car I did not know that it's made in USA. After I will get rid of this junk never again American car in my life!....
Every car will have problems. The 2016 is probably the worst. Never by the first year model of ANY car, wait a few years to after they fixed the common issues. The older Honda Pilots are better honestly. I have a 2006 that runs like new with 160k miles on it. Either get a older Pilot or any Toyota SUV. Definitely do not buy anything from Ford, Chevy and especially Dodge/ Chrysler.
@@jonpolokpolok1527 It's decent compared to most of the other SUVs on the market. It's similar to the Pilot so will have the same issues like infotainment screen, fuel injectors failure etc. If you get one I would stay away from the 2019 and go for the 2020 or later. If you want a solid long lasting SUV go for a Toyota Highlander or 4runner
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this!
what sort of symptoms are you experiencing is thumping / thud sounds on uneven pavement or road dips?
No just some vibration at idle and a clunk during shifts.

I’m having this same symptom with my 2019 and I actually have it in at the dealer service today getting it looked at.

are you sure it's not the transmission? If you have the 6 speed transmission has that problem if you do not change the fluid often

Thankyou making this video. Needed to replace mine. Where did you buy your parts?
This was my father in laws car, I believe he got them from Orielly Auto parts.
Ever change the rear?
Yes I did. I'll post it in a few days, been busy moving and other stuff.
Been noticing squeaky noise when shift. Does that mean my engine mounts are going out? Check my channel for the videos
Motor mounts usually don't squeak. How many miles do you have?
@@Jedi_Luke I’m thinking the engine is moving too much during shift and it’s putting some strain in transmission. I have Awd too
