Nice job bud. You're a machine. A couple questions. 1) What brand is your 22mm lug nut socket 2) That crank bolt came off like nothing. What is the torque rating on your impact? 3) Is valve lash adjustment typically done at same time as timing belt?
Not on this model. There was some older pilots that had a bulletin for a tolerance issue on the idler and the fix was a shim installed between the idler and block
Haven’t done one on these models yet but the 08-15 models I literally can do those in less than an hour I remember taking off the computer (why didn’t you?)and the ps pump you have all the room in the world oh and the oil pressure sensor to get the tensioner off but don’t forget to put it back on when you take the wooder pump off so you don’t get coolant in your filter 🤣🤣this one seems more of a tight squeeze and I moved to Vdub not at hondew anymore 😢😢
Favorite job to do on a Pilot. Reseal the oil pump recommended per leakage/mileage. About 9 hours total. Thanks you so much for the content. Would really like to see how you replace a rack n pinion. Peace
Nope the engine is still supported with the middle mounts I remember working at independent shops doing Honda t belts doing that until I started working at Honda this old guy next to me said you know you don’t have to support the engine he let the jack down while I was working I screamed WTF YOU DOING engine stayed at the same level
It is a 4 hour job if you have the basic tools. Part of why techs buy tools to help them do jobs like this quicker and easier saving them and customer time. If the customer wants to waste 4+ hours doing this themselves then have at it. Or you can pay someone who does these several times daily and has the knowledge to get it done quickly and correctly
@@bahlowwings that’s because the experienced mechanic took months/years learning how to do it that quickly. It’ll take you more than 6 hrs with basic tools and knowledge to do the job. So is it worth your time to spend all that time messing with your own car or are you busy enough to where paying for someone to do it for you is more efficient?
love how calm and relaxed everything is kinda like the bob ross of the automotive industry love all the videos dude keep it up
New timing belt for ya bud. Nice work again Bud.
Nice work super clean job
Give us a tutorial on how you pressure the engine bay after every job please
Is the engine running while you pressure wash the engine bay?
I leave the engine off. Any modern cars are fine to pressure wash from a good distance not up close
@@TEVIDEOS thank you
I love your videos. No disrespect but anybody remember spencer from the sitcom king of Queens. He has a similar voice
Quality work
Do you need a jack under the engine when you remove the motor mount?
You don't really need to support the engine if you just take out the side mount. The front and rear mounts are the ones that hold the weight
Cool. Thanks man.
So many works to do just to change belts , Honda engineer 😅😅😅, everyone is back
Nice one man!! When would you recommend a valve adjustment on the 3.5?
105k per Honda maintenance
If the engine is quiet don't do it. You will hear the engine become noisy when it needs it.

The crank bolt coming out like nothing is because of that socket, more heft, more ugga dugga, also less flex cause of how thicc it is
Makes it look so easy...For Ya Bud!! 👍😅
Hey serious question on the timing belt idler is there suppose to be a washer behind it ? Thanks much apperciate it

Do you need a jack to support the engine once the engine bracket is removed?
Nope the engine is still supported with the middle mounts I remember working at independent shops doing Honda t belts doing that until I started working at Honda this old guy next to me said you know you don’t have to support the engine he let the jack down while I was working I screamed WTF YOU DOING engine stayed at the same level
Can you replace my timintbelt to my honda pilot it’s past due already 😢
Can you ship me one of the Honda emblems? I’m starting a collection of emblems of vehicles I work on and putting them on my tool cart.
Where are those swivel socket from?
Snap On 👌
That’s why you go back to the car dealership get the job done right
Why are you stealing someone’s videos? I watched your videos on someone else’s channel.
Smart ass. LOL
Lol it’s his original video bro
😂😂
I know this comment is satire and it still pisses me off 😅👌
He clearly is the original poster fucksake
And they say it’s a four hour job

Experience mechanics can do this job in less that 2 but the shop owners want to charge for 6hrs which is shady.
