this is one of the most criminally underrated songs from the history of this contest. i can't believe she didn't qualify, i truly loved it, especially when she sang in croatian, what a beautiful language and song :)

@@solobano570 as a Norwegian I can say that me and other Scandis I’ve talked to online really liked her voice, her cadence and stage presence or just two out the three. But the song itself, a huge bore. There are several strong vocalists this year w a ballad that is just utterly boring and feels insincere. In Mia’s case I would’ve preferred her to sing another song altogether. In Vladana/Montenegro’s case, she has an amazing voice, the song itself is not my favorite but the delivery would be SO much stronger if she sang in her own language.
What vocals¿ like she sings good but there was nothing special compared to others. Just a sweet Taylor Swift song, but not as good as Taylor.
I think Norway way too often sends English songs to Eurovision. And if they’re about something really personal it can seem insincere, especially when you do like Vladana or Mia and put clichés and film quotes into the lyrics. The Polish one has tons of cliches like that but at least the melody is kind of interesting… this was a bit of a ramble but yeah. Mia herself has a great voice. This performance just gives me nothing emotionally.
Yandolito - it’s not the greatest song, but there are some romantic teens who like it. However, voice should count for something; it’s (Euro)song. I doubt Vladana will qualify either - and yes she has a great vocal. Oh well, got to bring some donkeys and sheep next time, or at least some real life gangsters, pistols at dawn - and then the Balkans would be “amazzzing,” living up to everyone expectation 👍🏻
Singing in your native language should be mandatory for the ESC. It just adds so much to this contest. The last part of this song was definitely the best.

@@schmarron9914 Why not? Last year Italy won and they were singing in Italian. The language is not the decisive factor.
@@Dansidansmeister the rule that anyone had to sing in their native language actually existed, and it heavily increased the chance of english or french songs to win. This is why Ireland has the most wins out of any country. It also limits singers for no good reason
@@schmarron9914 I did a little bit of research and in the 29 years that each country had to sing in their own language English songs won 11 times (7x Ireland and 4x the UK) and French songs won 7 times (divided by 5 countries which all sang in French: France, Monaco, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxemburg). Of course I get your point and 11 out of 29 indicates that English won disproportionately often. However, I would not say that the Irish won so often just because the sang in English. On the other hand, if the majority of the countries sing in English and the winner does not perform in English (like in 2007, 2016, 2017 and 2021) this shows that the language not necessarily is the decisive factor. But Your argument is of course valid. Still I think the whole show would be more entertaining if not all songs sound the same because they are all sung in English.

Svi koji nisu native speakers zvuče grozno na engleskom jer izrazi koje koriste su toliko banalni, predirektni, ne valja niš. Kad čujem stihove od Grknje, hvata me smijeh, ali eto plasira se visoko - jer ima glasače! Glasači su ključ svega.

@@ewaz15 Człowiek się denerwuje co roku tymi werdyktami, chyba trzeba po prostu pogodzić się z tym, że wyniki nie są sprawiedliwe i to tylko zabawa. Wystąpiły tam 2 znakomite wokalistki o światowej sławie, które nie wygrały: Patricia Kaas i Kate Miller Heidke; najsłynniejsza włoska piosenkarka Elisa zajęła w tym roku 2 miejsce w preselekcjach...to dowód, że ci najlepsi się nie przebiją, tu rządzi pospolity gust, a nie żaden talent i sprawiedliwość. No ale to tylko konkurs, więc nie ma się co przejmować. Można poznać takie fajne wokalistki jak ta i kupić sobie jej płytę (polecam też album Panta rhei Jeleny Tomasevic z Serbii, wystąpiła kiedyś na Eurowizji z "Oro").

Nikolina - Da su se Srbi bacili sa riječi na djela i okrenuli broj za Miju, ušla bi u finale - bila je blizu. Ali nisu! Samo blabla da bi mi za uzvrat glasali za Konstraktu. I to je sve, nema tu filozofije.
Srbi i mi nismo u istom polufinalu, sto znaci da nisu ni mogli glasat za nas.

They were better than most of the songs that made it to the final. I don't understand why Europe doesn't like Croatia. The song was catchy and beautiful. they deserved to compete in the final, even if they didn't have a chance to win. mia's costume was one of the best of the night.

there really wasn't enough "wow factor" in the song or her singing, not even for the regular music market, let alone eurovision. she wasn't bad though, there were definitely some weak tunes overall that shockingly made it through.
Sve je to politika, a ne muzika i pravi odabir pjesama ! Žalosno na što je spao ESC ! Miina pjesma po mom mišljenju nije dovoljno snažna, ali je u svakom slučaju bila bolja od velike većine finalista ! Svake godine isto, ne znam samo zašto toliko ustrajemo sudjelovati negdje gdje nas godinama ponižavaju, a pogotovo oni od kojih bi trebali dobiti najviše bodova, a to su slovenci , bosanci......svi naši susjedi kojima mi uredno dajemo šakom i kapom bodove koje nisu zaslužili, a oni nama za "nagradu" , najmanji mogući broj bodova!
Baš smo izrazito glup i podanički narod i bolje i ne zaslužujemo!

I am very critical to my own country, but I must say - this is such a nice soothing melody. Like a summer brerze. Light and refreshing. I am happy with out song ... still listening to it! Bravo Mia! Predivno!

Koliko bolje zvuči dio na hrvatskom. Trebalo je cijelu pjesmu otpjevati na maternjem jeziku.
Definitivno se slažem. Ja sam Srbin, i generalno obožavam kada vidim bilo koju državu da pjeva na svom jeziku. Svako treba da bude ponosan na ono što je... Ovako sve više zemalja pretvara eurosong koji bi trebao da bude jedan međunarodni događaj, sa različitim kulturama i jezicima i englishsong pun limunada pjesama na engleskom.
Ali pjesma je definitivno lijepa, i dobar glas, i mogla je komotno biti u finalu. ❤

@@ekatom854 Tacno, engleski jezik je siromasan i nema puno mogucnosti nekog kombinovanja, dok je nas jezik Srpsko- Hrvatski bogat jezik i tezak za ucenje. Ne razumem zasto Hrvati pevaju pesme evrovizije na engleskom kao da predstavljate englesku a ne Hrvatsku, to mi nije jasno nikad.
