At first I really didn't understand why my sister Shakira decided to move to Mexico but watching this and seeing how much happier and healthier she is makes me understand why. I love you and miss you sis ❤❤
Every one that goes there to MX or anywhere out of the US has the happy elated look & heart of this beautiful young woman. We have a lot of brainwashing to take to the Cleaners. Merida the Capital of the Yucatan is the #1 safest city in the America's. Guadalajara is a candy shop city of alot of diverse litl towns within. Be glad to get out of fake food, crappy chemtrails, & a very controlling govt & controlled life & be set free & enjoy a massive change into great health both physical & mental. I'm visiting Guadalajara next month for the first time. Also visiting Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta (I have visited both before) but will be my first time visiting Guadalajara. I live in NYC and I'm also considering moving to Mexico too (not yet but in about a year and a half to two years). My family is from Dominican Republic so I speak fluent Spanish. I love all the parts of Mexico (which are several) I have visited I'm glad you love living there! Your video has inspired me even further to make me wanna move to 🇲🇽
I'm from Michoacan living in California. I love the quality of life that Guadalajara brought to family that moved there and they say nothing but good things. Love to visit and loved to have heard it from you Shakira.
Shakira is wonderful, and how stunning that her doctor gave her a choice between typical medicine or holistic treatment! She has a wonderful attitude and wants to assimilate, she's got it made! Happy to hear that her health has improved and that she is learning to relax. Great video!
Putting in the work to find your community and finding where you are most comfortable can pay huge dividends in happiness, contentment and peace of mind as this person's experience clearly demonstrates. This is an example of what moving to Mexico can really be like!
I moved to Puerto Vallarta in March 2023 and I wish I had done it sooner. What Shakira said really resonated with me, I feel so much at peace here. You need to step out of your comfort zone, get to know the locals and practice your Spanish. Best decision I ever made!

This is a great video! I love hearing how healing it is for Black Americans to settle into various places outside of the US. Guadalajara is one of the cities. we are considering for relocation. How did Shakira get a local guarantor? Did she already know someone who live in Guadalajara who could co-sign for her? That is one issue we see that will be difficult for us to address. We won't know anyone in Guadalajara, let alone a Mexican national who owns property there. Is there a common solution to this that other people who immigrate to Mexico use for this?
you don’t have to know anyone in Guadalajara- our recommendation is to buy a póliza de arrendamiento or you can negotiate a higher deposit. our recommended realtors will work with you if you need them. see our directory of contacts in our Mexico Relocation Guide mexicorelocationguide.com/guide/

This was such a great video. Shakira has a wonderful personality and is very thorough on what she has/is experiencing in many aspects of life as an expat, black woman and gay. @@MexicoRelocationGuide For me, I prefer cities & towns that are more walkable. I think of GDL as like Los Angeles, you need to drive or taxi most places.
