I started off with an MS1, direct attached to the rifle. Light, simple, fewer points of potential failure, quiet, inexpensive. I spent the last five years trying paraclips, qd, all of the various attachments, and nine different slings from all of the popular companies. A huge ellliptical path right back to where I started: direct attached MS1.

The fact that Magpul felt this video was necessary is troubling... now can we get some Olive Drab Green Pmags? thanks!

I think the one item that you're missing in your line up which would be a good idea to add is a fourth sling adapter, which is paraclip at the end, but with the bi-directional QDM adapter from the MS4.

Love Magpul products across the board, but your slings are the only ones I like to use. Started with an MS1 years ago, have tried Blue Force Gear Vickers but found them inferior in every way, and every other sling I've tried has failed to impress me the way Magpul slings have. Got a MS1 padded for my SPR, absolutely love it.
My only criticism is with the MS4 single point adapter, it's very clunky, there's no way to mitigate this by tightening anything either, because of the end that's sewn closed. It's so loose that unless the sling is kept under tension, the weight of the adapter causes the sling to flop over and twist the sling. Mind you, this is when in 2 point configuration with rear attached to buttstock. With it attached to an end plate QD on the lower receiver, this slack and placement allows the adapter to clank against the buttstock/receiver extension tube.
I've found a better use of the adapter that mitigates all of these shortcomings. I ripped the seams of the belting on the MS4 adapter and discarded it, keeping the adapter and QD swivel. The standard Magpul sling has 2 triglides on the rear for adjusting length. Remove them, and reassemble them with the sling threaded through triglide, MS4 adapter, triglide, and QD sling swivel. The adapter can be slid fore or aft to tailor how close you want your single point configuration to be from the rifle (handy for different heights and extended/compressed stock LOP).
If someone from Magpul reads this, keep this use in mind for future hardware adapters.

Don’t buy it! Just bought an MS4 GEN2 QD sling from you. Opened it and the single point adapter accepts the Qd on one side but not on the other side (would not go all the way in) Store won’t allow a refund or exchange because it was opened and does not work. So Magpul will give me a return authorization and I can mail it back and then wait for processing and a return to me ( which it shows out of stock on the website) So that could take a while. I would have expected Magpul to just apologize and send the small piece I need, but instead they want me to go through this hassle for what to them is probably a $5 part. Being as I need this for training right away, I can’t wait on it so was forced to go and spend another $25 for the piece I need to actually use this $70 sling. Of course things happen, nothing is perfect all the time, but it’s how you handle it for a paying customer that will tell you all you need to know about a company. Lesson learned, I know what to expect from Magpul and won’t do it again.
