  • The surest way to make it rain is to mow all the hay. What are we going to do now? Will any of the hay be salvageable? Come along and see!

I enjoy watching you guys make hay, but I too am looking forward to harvest. Great video, Carl.

"Don't wanna be 'that' guy." Appreciate your respect for your neighbors. Also a great lesson in there for anyone who sells anything: treat people the way you would want to be treated.

So frustrating, glad you got it done! Keep an eye on those wheel bearings if you are towing at highway speeds.

Thanks as always for your great videos. I know the problems that you have with all the things that you have to go through making hay and I commend you.
It is always a fight with nature, and the timing.

The weather service doesn't know what it's going to do and it's getting worse every day. Glad you were able to get that job done. May God bless you with a safe and bountiful harvest.

This explains the old adage "Make hay while the sun shines". It is explained where that came from very clearly!

Those Old John Deere Bailers are really Good. My Dad's Uncle used to have one. I know Square Bails are hard work.

I don't really know much about ranching why is it that you make both round and square bales? The rounds are mainly for cattle and the squares are for other livestock like horses and goats?

This video is a perfect example of farming. You can have proper planning, hard work, well maintained equipment, but you are still at the mercy of mother nature. Didn't give up though!

Carl hay making season is always a hit and miss. To be honest the weatherman has no idea anymore no matter what state you live in. The hay still turned out good and you take some good with the bad weather you are grain farming or hay farming. 2022 has been a struggle for all of us farmers.

Sometimes you have to make hay when the sun doesn't shine. It sucks.

Great to see that older equipment being used still, takes me back to the 60s on the family farm in AUS. Good vid

Thanks Robert! It’s hard to justify newer equipment for the amount of hay ground we have access to.

Thanks for the video Carl ! I'm wondering when the price of cattle feed got so high that it justified harvesting the hay from cornfield waterways?
