I think you don´t get it right. In the plan showing the side of the bowsprit the small piece of wood connecting the two masts shows vertically downward. This means the two holes must be drilled in an angle, otherwise the small piece of wood will be installed in an angle showingh forward. This will happen to your bowsprit when connecting it to the bow. Am I right?
