I wasn't expecting this to add up to so much savings - but glad I made these small changes. And luckily...none of them were a major change to my life!

Hello i work for Allstate and the number one option I recommend for people to save money is to shop car insurance every 6 months, it can be a hazzle but a call can save you hundreds of dollars, and milewise is not offered in texas:( i love the content keep it up!!!

Hi Bob, I’m from Australia and discovered your channel last week and have been hooked. I paused after the first step and shopped around and I was able to save $528 annually swapping to a different insurer. 🎉 My current one didn’t offer so cancelled my policy and literally just changed just now! 😂 Im normally not this proactive but keep the tips coming. 👌

Hey there I work for state farm and the Milage thing is legit! A lot of insurance agents dont even ask because sometimes annual mileage comes up automatically believe it or not after plugging in the vin number, and the number that comes up comes from previous driving patterns including pre pandemic milage. State farm offers a discount once you hit under 7500 miles on average for a year, but we do sometimes ask you to report your odometer so before you start rushing to commit insurance fraud only mention it if you actually work from home and drive less than that on a yearly basis! Every company is different but its usually below that 7000ish mile a year threshold where the low milage discount comes into play (this is based on new york)

Some of those car insurance discounts require monitors on your car. No thanks.
I'm in Canada, and CAA does offer a pay per kilometers plan, but as I said, they install a device on your car.
And we in Canada like to complain about our prices for internet, phone, and cable but wow! My internet, cable, home phone, and cell cost less all together than your cable.

I hate that stupid driving insurance app monitor. If I hit a bump it records a hard breaking and takes points away. A few times they told me that I didn't drive enough to get the discount. That app is ridiculous. Discounts should be based on history and milage.

I cut the cable cord back in 2012 - never looked back. My cell phone is only $30/mo. BUT, car insurance...uggh...I'm in FL, also. I have always had full coverage, but it was going to go up $45/mo. So, I just dropped my car ins. down to liability only, and with a CLEAN driving record and good credit - still paying $141/mo. - 6 month policy. FL insurance rates are getting out of control. I'm going to look into the pay-per-mile. I work from home, so I don't drive that much anymore. Thanks for the tip! Fingers crossed.

In NY I am paying 145 per month. It is the cheapest price for liability only. Full coverage is starting from 400 per month

On the cell phone part I bought a second hand iPhone 11 Pro for 450 unlocked and have pre paid service can’t beat the price I pay now for service. It’s funny when I go in to pay my phone bill they always try to “upgrade” me yea no I’m not about to be buying a new phone that does the samething that my current phone does ie call, text, data, take pictures

Last year I decided to put my hands on my money spent and looked at everything I could save.
    Phone sub : $6/month instead of $20/month
Car insurance : $40/month instead of $100/month (that takes into account how much I drive!)
    TV subs : $9/month instead of $30/month
    Music sub : $4/month instead of $13/month
    Home insurance : $50 instead of $90/month
    Credit insurance : $40 instead of $100/month
    Bank sub/insurance/services: $0 instead of $20/month
I saved approx $3000/year which is insane. So yeah, more power to people! Don't let your subs/insurance on autopilot and check what you're spending on!
