how did u make it run u need a valve directory and opposing force has gearbox how ??

All you have to do is copy the 'gearbox' folder from a copy of Opposing Force to the Xash3D folder. Replace the Client.dll file with the one from Half-Life if told to & then the game boots like any other mod.
