For everyone asking: Dre effectively banished Zoey from the family after her College antics in Grownish blew up in her face and he hasn't forgiven her in two years. That's why she isn't in the Christmas episodes and everyone else don't want to touch that hot button issue or face Dre's wrath.

Funny you think they always use real people (and animals) with either stunts or for all risky movie/tv scenes. Wow. You got a lot to learn.
They aren’t allowed to film the baby a lot due to legal reasons and I really don’t know about the dog and then I thought zoey was mad and never wanted to come home or something
