He’s super fun to play in overworld, and exploring is going to be much easier with him. Only complaints about his kit is that I wish he had a little more resistance in air and sometimes even tho he’s off the air he gets caught in attacks on the ground which is weird. I wish his damage was a little less reliant on bennet/faruzan buffs.
Yeah, I want to include someone like Yunjin in his party, but Xingqiu is necessary for the resistance (and Barrett/Faruzan are basically mandatory as well). It's not just that you get interrupted, but the interruption animation is so long that it uses up like 1/3 of your skill's duration (and it's often hard to see the attacks since they'll come from below you).
He's pretty damn amazing for overworld stuff. Throw him in a party with Sayu + Yelan and you can now constantly travel at top speed without ever using stamina. The fact that he also consolidates the "gain height" role is a pretty nice bonus, too. This means the overworld team still has a slot open for characters with utility passives, like the ones that show local specialties on the map. Something tells me he'll also become the new best friend of anyone who likes going places they're not supposed to be in. His flight ability combined with Geo Traveler being able to plant rocks on walls should mean you can now go just about anywhere. So yeah, really nice QoL character. The fact that he's also a straightforward NA/CA carry and quite capable of handling Abyss floors DPS-wise is just the cherry on top IMO. It's not like Abyss is a huge part of the game anyway so I tend to really like characters like him that enrich the overworld experience. Same reason I absolutely loved Sayu's addition to the roster.
What does he really adds to the normal overworld team? You already move at top speed on the ground with only Yelan + Sayu, and for vertical transversing, Kazuha is still better considering that you can use his E in the air, unlike the Wanderer, and his passive helps way more than the one of the Wanderer

He fills that downtime with a stamina free sprint of his own thus enabling you to constantly sprint without using _any_ stamina. Him being a Catalyst wielder is also nice since he can hold Lost Prayer for extra speed. *2.* In case you need to keep two slots open (say, if you want to combine Nahida's ranged collection and a collectible radar like Klee) he consolidates Yelan's sprint and Kazuha's Anemo resonance + vertical movement into one slot. *3.* He can sprint off of cliffs with his E, thus extending your flight range and shortening flight time since said sprint is pretty fast. *4.* He finally brings an on-field carry role to the overworld "meta" without having to use up another slot, making quick work of just about any encounter that doesn't involve Anemo slimes.
Personally seeing how fast his activation of his charged atk is ( 8:05 ) ,and has decent damage. I think he'll be used more as a charged atk spammer rather than a normal atk bot.
the damage from charge attack spam actually lower compared to normal attack spam but its aoe so when dealing with multiple enemies charge attack deal "more" damage, versus single enemy normal attack is superior
@@magicandy6107 Im just assuming but i think most people like to see big numbers and deal damage fast then after they blow their load, swap to other characters. Im sure he can be used in some niche speed runs if he gets used as a charged atk spammer!
One thing I am taking away from the release of Mr Hat is that mihoyo is trying out different play styles in creative ways. Makes me excited to see what they have planned in the future.
Scaramouche is literally 1.0-1.3 character. It takes 2-3 years from planning to gaming for a character. YaoYao scheduled for next patch is from CBT. TLDR: We haven't seen characters whose design started after game launch
i got pretty lucky with my pulls, got my guaranteed scaramouche on ~37th pull as well as c1 faruzan and his signature weapon! so excited to play around with him, especially since it's my first time getting a limited signature weapon for a character :')
i got so confused when he showed the bloom set at 3:44 😭 i was reading the effects of the set till i noticed the words bloom and hyperbloom and i just instantly went "wait that isn't right at all"

I agree with you, but if we could use the skill while falling we would just be able to fly forever. Cause you gain some height, then use wings, then use the skill again to regain your height and also get your stamina back. That way we could have infinite fly mode XD
That was an amazing video, I don't even like wanderer or wanted to know about him particulartly, but it was super entertaining, plus the way you told the scaramouche joke and you still laughing minutes after it had me in shambles xD top comedy content
when it comes to power, hes a bit weaker yoimiya but he has AOE, his E works exactly like yoimiya E, and since you cant vape with him, they gave him the element buffs which evens it out a bit, i think hes good and need investment, great video as always!
Technically each of her hits buffs her CA hehe I prefer Ningguang's mechanic of eliminating stamina cost though, I can vary the number of NAs in between for optimal results Thinking about getting Wanderer for comparison

Mm... It's pretty much any catalyst user can buffer their CA like that after the 2nd NA. I'm more concerned Wanderer and Nahida, and to an extent for Yae, their CA's can cleanly be pulled off and canceled into jump or charge attack to avoid damage. If they can do it for these new characters, they can fix this for the old ones gdi.
Feels like for Abyss,he needs someone who can group enemies which would make him lose some buffers Edit : ik about faruzan grouping,but she isn't that great....and u need c6 for her while most people will get Wanderer before c6 faruzan

His DMG output seem really similar of that of Cyno to me. Pulling for wanderer so I can put him in the other side of abyss without having Cyno and Hu Tao fight for my only good polearm on each side :'3
Eh maybe his solo damage is similar but his team damage is vastly higher than Cyno since all his teammates can do a lot of damage if not playing hyper carry; and Cyno has other issues wanderer doesn’t have
Sameee broo, he feels like a Cyno, my Cyno is doing 30k Na and 40k+slashes (maybe around full 60k dmg) E and scara is doing like 20k Na in team and 150k Ult so he's simmilar to Cyno, both are fun to play

Super helpful, I'm saving my primos for C2 Raiden, cause abyss is struggle bus, but I love catalyst users, so I was tempted. Seeing the Wanderer abyss performance clarified the decision to hold off for me
@yongga ap Just say you don't know how to play him. You burst and then use his skill. Mine is C0 with a 4* weapon and doing 50k bursts while hitting 45k-50k charged attacks.
I'm 10 pulls away on getting him guaranteed and at first I planned on skipping him but I just really like how useful he can be on overworld exploring given that I still have places to farm and heck yeah to flying and zoom zooms! So not really looking into using him in abyss but he's damage is pretty good. Update: I just got him on 77th pity and boy I love flying around with him super fun!
3:30 I do believe Yanfei has the same buffer on her last NA as well. Not sure if it's as frame perfect as Wanderer's, as I lack the technical skills to visually tell the difference, but it sure feels that way when using and seeing her

Idk if its copium or not, I've been farming for handguard for the last few weeks and I'm getting the gold one (the blue background) more often with Scaramouche. So, I take that as a win since my stock had been depleted by Ayaka, Ayato, Wanderer, Mistplitter, Redhorn, Amenoma. Also, his passive, which reduce cost of lvling up bow and catalyst helps!
@@pop2147 my well built xiao performs better than my better built ayaka with ver BiS weapon and my well built raiden unless I get to do optimal rotations with almost no error. Everyone has their own version of their story.
these Genshin Content Creators have access to a "Media Servers" provided by Hoyoverse where they have access to the upcoming version in advance and they give them accounts with the new characters and unlimited ((?) not sure) resin and wish so they can make these videos in advance and edit it and be ready to publish the videos when the new version is up,,, but of course they are not allowed to share info prior to the version release
well, my opinion is best save ur crystal, and gacha for the next banner (raiden shogun) go get c2 and u will be satisfied with the damage she can deal at c2
He's the new Itto and Eula, a lot of hype on release, but it's gonna be forgotten overtime. I don't see why use a character like him when we have dendro and inter/nacional. I'm actually more excited to get him for exploration since I'm only looking forward to the hydro archon.

His kit feels pretty balanced to me. His DPS strength is good enough to 9 star Floor 12, while his overworld capability like hovering and traveling mid-air feels superb. I just wish the special stamina bar would last a bit longer. If you don't want to use him as a DPS, since he's Anemo, you can still use him as a Support with Thrilling Tales + 4pcs Viridescent. Overall, I'd say he's a pretty solid unit :).
huge L is when he uses his E and stuck on the ice and mirror maiden thingy and they nerfed the resistance to interruption while flying also kit and team wise he needs a grouping unit since hes single target but yes boy can't have it all it would be too op
@@milten76 With 60% CR, and using Rosaria alone, it will reach above 80% As once his skill infuses Cryo, it increases his crit rate. And Rosaria with 100% Crit Rate can give him 15% Crit Rate from her burst.
This guy needs both sheilding and crowd control, as well as the elements of pyro and hydro. Yet another reason why we need a hydro sheild character, and more crowd control for characters with elements other than fking anemo in general.

In terms of strength he is quite ok, not bad but not impressive either. It's a character geared solely to be the on-field DPS, and he does the job well. I personally don't like so much characters that need dedicated support, and I think Faruzan ends up being more important than Wanderer himself. He gives me an Ayato type feeling, I feel he is more fun to use than powerful, but he does well what he needs to do when using him. Instead of more flexibity, like Ayato has in being able to play on and off the field, the Wanderer gains in having a better ability to explore (although as said in the video, it clearly feels like his ability is considerably limited, but it's fun/good nonetheless). I just wish they would have given him interrupt resistance during Elemental Skill and maybe some group control (gathering enemies) in Burst (Burst only throws lighter enemies up, but doesn't pull).
after watching this, im now certain that i wont pull for him 😅 he looks really fun for exploring and the flying? gosh looks super cool but i already have every region at 100 and i dont really need another anemo dps/char. Was debating whether to use primos on him or keep saving for C1 Yelan. But now after watching the showcase I can safely say that he's a hard pass for now.
Yeah supports are always a better addition, is better to go for DPS only if you like the playstyle, or something about their kit, so good luck with that C1 Yelan pal

His hitbox is probably still in the ground when he floats 💀 they just gave up programming it.
Most likely it’s something they will patch, so not really that big a deal

basically he is another hypercarry. which mean he is an addition to the mid-tier DPS gang with eula,yoimiya,itto,xiao,cyno,
he is nowhere near comparable to yoimiya. He's pretty broke, I got 30k with talents 4 and bennett without his signature weapon. Insane

I tried Wanderer+Venti+Yelan+Diona and the team works pretty good. Haven't tried it in Spiral Abyss though.
Faruzan can group enemies and his charged attack also pulls them closer
He has great synergy with Venti imo

@yongga ap burst before using elem skill then. I have him at c3 and his bursts deals 70k per hit on overworld enemies with correct rotation
@yongga ap Just say you don't know how to play him. You burst and then use his skill. Mine is C0 with a 4* weapon and doing 50k bursts while hitting 45k-50k charged attacks.

I'm 10 pulls away on getting him guaranteed and at first I planned on skipping him but I just really like how useful he can be on overworld exploring given that I still have places to farm and heck yeah to flying and zoom zooms! So not really looking into using him in abyss but he's damage is pretty good.
Update: I just got him on 77th pity and boy I love flying around with him super fun!

3:30 I do believe Yanfei has the same buffer on her last NA as well. Not sure if it's as frame perfect as Wanderer's, as I lack the technical skills to visually tell the difference, but it sure feels that way when using and seeing her

Idk if its copium or not, I've been farming for handguard for the last few weeks and I'm getting the gold one (the blue background) more often with Scaramouche. So, I take that as a win since my stock had been depleted by Ayaka, Ayato, Wanderer, Mistplitter, Redhorn, Amenoma. Also, his passive, which reduce cost of lvling up bow and catalyst helps!

He's the new Itto and Eula, a lot of hype on release, but it's gonna be forgotten overtime. I don't see why use a character like him when we have dendro and inter/nacional. I'm actually more excited to get him for exploration since I'm only looking forward to the hydro archon.

His kit feels pretty balanced to me.
His DPS strength is good enough to 9 star Floor 12, while his overworld capability like hovering and traveling mid-air feels superb. I just wish the special stamina bar would last a bit longer.
If you don't want to use him as a DPS, since he's Anemo, you can still use him as a Support with Thrilling Tales + 4pcs Viridescent. Overall, I'd say he's a pretty solid unit :).

As once his skill infuses Cryo, it increases his crit rate.

He seems so fun and I want to pull, but I already lost 50/50 when trying and now I have guaranteed for raiden
In terms of strength he is quite ok, not bad but not impressive either. It's a character geared solely to be the on-field DPS, and he does the job well. I personally don't like so much characters that need dedicated support, and I think Faruzan ends up being more important than Wanderer himself. He gives me an Ayato type feeling, I feel he is more fun to use than powerful, but he does well what he needs to do when using him. Instead of more flexibity, like Ayato has in being able to play on and off the field, the Wanderer gains in having a better ability to explore (although as said in the video, it clearly feels like his ability is considerably limited, but it's fun/good nonetheless). I just wish they would have given him interrupt resistance during Elemental Skill and maybe some group control (gathering enemies) in Burst (Burst only throws lighter enemies up, but doesn't pull).
Yeah thats the feeling when playing national team. The damage not from DPS but rely more on suppport.

That's not even off-meta. That just sounds absolutely horrendous. How on earth does Klee, CY, and Shenhe benefit Scara? Thoma is okay-ish if you have him at C6.
Because I think it would be fun to do something completely out of left field and build scara as a cryo dps. I'm very aware it is horrendous. That is the point and the results would be interesting to see.
