Yeah, this Minion is insane. Makes quick work of everything. High armor, OP special, OP ram damage, pretty good speed and maneuverability even as well.
I think its funny how if you play Minion you don't fight Minion. However if you play Sweettooth ypu still fight Dark Tooth. The reason this is funny to me is because Dark Tooth is always saying you killed my son, but I am your son lol.
You also gotta know that Car Combat isn’t as popular I guess. And because of Twisted Metal, there isn’t a better car combat game than that For the modern day that is

I bought a used Playstation in the early 2000's specifically for this game. Don't own any other games for it. Bought my friend's copy of TM2, put it in the machine, and never took it out. It's in there now and still plays.
I love how minion is op as hell, as a driver for the player to use. CPU, not super smart. Imagine the reasons for these characters that act the way they do. Axel wastes his wish, minion would never happen, some of these things are based off of the 7 deadly sins. Addiction, stupidity and revenge.
Would have loved it if, as part of his ending, Minion turned to the player and said something similiar to what Calypso always says, like "I am Minion and I thank you for playing twisted metal"

TM2 and TM3 are my precious jewels of PLAYSTATION. The Twisted Metal saga is my favorite and I hope that they will create an online multiplayer game in the future.
I always fall from new york. The biggest problem is getting there with 3 lives and losing everything falling out of buildings ... No matter what car I use, I always have difficulty. I never made it to Hong Kong, just in PS1 era.
A good tactic for New York is to get to the top of the building closest to the Statue of Liberty. There is a large blue box you can blow up. If you fall through the hole, you will land in a pool. It has a hallway at the end you can escape from or re-enter, but if you just hang out by the pool, enemies will fall into it, giving you a chance to ambush them with a remote bomb and special attacks or whatever else. It requires a little bit of patience, but it’s a easy way to get past without risking a life.
Is there anything in particular that makes opponent cars turn into a burned out wreck (that explodes after a short while) rather than explode into pieces right away? Guessing burn damage does this, though it seems a few times that ramming them on the last hit does it too, so I'm not sure. Great series btw.
Billy Bob Bo Billy Yes, burn damage will do that. If you play as Thumper, it will happen when you finish said opponent cars with his Special Weapon, which is a flamethrower.

Yes. You have to be firing your machine guns, and input up-down-up-up with a full meter. If you do that, any character can fire Minion’s 3 missiles and freeze attack.
3:12 minion vs mr.grimm collision is probably the most laughable thing in the game... because of minion's immense force from his size and grimm's lowest of low armor, you pretty much had to run him over to kill him =D ah ~ good memories ~
Iirc, need to actice code l1 up down left to unlock him, it dont work in pc version . may be r1 instead of l1 But code for sweettooth work in both version: up r triangle left. It show on new york map,use napalm out of edge, wait and drive to that too( that mean u will die if not clear map). All secret show on single mode only..
This is one of the best ps1games. And by far the best twisted metal game. I would rank this in the top 5 best ps1games. Resident evil 2, resident evil 3, doom, mortal kombat trilogy and twisted metal 2. Not necessarily in that order but those are the top 5 ps1games. Just my opinion. I'm kind of curious to know if anyone else also thinks that twisted metal 2 is highly superior over all the other twisted metal games????
imo for twisted metal games i go head-on, 4, 2, black,(2012) from best to worst. i enjoyed them all but head-on and 4 particularly stood out for its maps and unique features. like the ai was the best in 4 that the series would ever see and head-on just had so many options ...never played 1,3, or small brawl so i did not include them. for overall ps4 games 1. Final Fantasy 7 2. Legend of Dragoon 3. Metal Gear Solid 4. Crash Bandicoot 5. (objectively Twisted Metal 2, i just prefer 4)
i think its weird that crash became popular with its sequel. i felt when they started adding gimmick stages a lot more the game became less enjoyable. luckily we got twinsanity, the last truly great crash game imo. honestly the only crash games i really enjoyed were 1, twinsanity, and i guess the crash racing games were always decent.

20:42, Dark Tooth was the only character that managed to destroy over 50% of Minion's vehicle
in Head-On, Dark Tooth can be unlocked after beating him. Minion can only be beaten and unlocked in 3 and 4

Why do cars sometimes just roll over and stay wrecked when defeated and not explode/dissapear?
If you kill them with machine gun or ram they will not explode immediately.

If you kill an enemy with bullets or by them being on fire, they will be a burning heap. Any other weapon will obliterate them for the kill.
Bullets, rammed to death,, fire, crashing, Twister's special, falling to your death and Amazonia lava will cause the burning wreckage death animation.
