Fairytale Forest, NJ 1995, Part 1

Footage from our trip to Fairytale Forest in Oakridge, NJ on April 29th, 1995. This was the last year the park was at its full original size, complete with rare footage of their old train ride. The park closed the end of 1995 and reopened in 1998 with new owners (still within the original family). They demolished the left half of original park to build a self storage service.
Later in the 2000s, the park closed for good and was left to decay for many years. Just before the pandemic, however, they restored the park and restaurant by the entrance. They were supposed to open it up before the pandemic. Their website still states that opening is still pending.

Today was their grand re-opening! It was beautiful. The owners did an amazing job fixing everything up and adding the magic back into the park!

This is about the same time we took my sisters' kids. The train was the highlight in an attraction that was sadly left behind by time. Thank you for posting this video.

That's our first child. He recently turned 30! He and our other kids still have deep fond memories of those days we took them to those parks.
