Great job! I loved this video but slight correction...St Augustine, FL is the oldest city in America founded in 1565.

Richmond for retirement? We live in Georgia right now and moved here from Idaho. We are not going back to Idaho and we aren’t super thrilled with GA. Our daughters live in the DC area. We aren’t stuck to living in the city but we do want the amenities we enjoy. Things like great coffee shops, golf courses, whole foods or health food co-ops, OLLI classes at local colleges, hiking trails, and lots of opportunities to make friends at our age. Retirement is only a short 7 years away so I’m beginning to narrow down our choices. What areas around Richmond or the surrounding communities would you recommend and is this a good place to retire in VA?

Update: GRTC runs from downtown to Midlothian Turnpike and Walmart Way . Also run out to Goochland and Sheltering Arms. In 30 days the link buses will also cover powatan.

Hello, my husband and I are looking for a place in Virginia to retire… We do love water, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be downtown Richmond. We are definitely looking for quiet, upscale, historic, safe! Any recommendations for neighborhoods? Suburbs would be fine!

Hey There! We don't handle rentals! I am not a fan of renting, because I would rather pay my own mortgage vs. someone else's! If you want to chat about renting vs buying I am happy to set up a zoom meeting with you. Feel free to text 703-728-3937 to set an appt.

Ragweed blooms in the late summer and fall, not going to be a problem in the spring

Your winters are very tame and I would say they are a Pro but your summers can be brutally hot and humid, definitely a Con.

The Richmond market ( about 1.2 million ) is not large enough to support a Professional sports team
