I am also a "step mom" but we don't use the word "step" in our family. My husbands first wife and I are good friends because we love the children. We function as a normal, blended family and there is plenty of love to go around. Kudos to Kamala and her husbands first wife. That is the way sensible grown ups behave.

My parents divorced at the time when there had to be “photographic evidence” of infidelity. Absolutely guaranteed to shred the family to pieces. As it did. The “erring” parent did not have access to his children with the end result that the divorce wasn’t just between the married couple but it divorced the children as well, including one set of grandparents. Result: children with no father, he with no access to them, they without one set of grandparents. Children totally bewildered and distressed. Then those children marry……..

I love this story, because of the respect that those people had (and have) for eachother. It shows me that Doug has a good relation with his former wife, that she is a decent person and that Kamala was careful in her behaviour when meeting him and before meeting the children. I like that.

First, the Biden/Harris administration was a very welcome breath of fresh air. Then, when the media was pressing so hard for President Biden to step down, I was angry and scared. STEP DOWN?!? Does the country realizes all President Biden has done for our country. I became like a Pitbull, along with, surprisingly, many others that Biden stay in the race.
And now, with the success of the Harris/Walz ticket, this has been like the sweetest, most exciting adrenaline rush the country almost thought they ever experience again. We desperately needed this.
