i am playing the bells for my children in class as the custom of tolling bells have become a scarcity in some of our areas in South Africa. . Thank you its glorious to hear the bells.
Each time I listen to this - it's bloody marvelous. Paul is definitely my hero. Rang a couple of peals with him thirty years ago and he still remembers my name at ASCY dinners to this day!!
I was just listening to this in bed. Any good well struck ringing is nice but I do love the effect you get on 12 where you get a a trance like pattern on the back bells, it can almost send you sleep. Really beautiful ringing
Indeed the 5/4 near miss at 6:20 could have seen the peal off if the 4th had dropped his backstroke. The nice thing is that the treble is perfectly audible. so often in 12 bell towers, the treble is drowned by the heavier bells.
Had a QP recently on a (not very acoustically rewarding) 12 where there was a 3/4 near miss. I was on the 4 and the 3 dropped their bell ever so slightly as to make it not just a near miss, but a *very* near miss. Conductor agreed that it was definitely not rounds and we scored.
@KDowner94 I quite like rings with a treble like that!! Just cause your used to a grumbly old 8, nice in their own way, of course, but in a completely different (lower!!) league to these!!
Excellent ringing! (Also cutie in foreground Yes I have rung with FODS in London!)! I used to live in NYC but jaben't been there since this ring had been installed. (When I lived there I always remarked why couldn't their be ring here at Trinity? My dream came true! One day I have to ring there myself (preferably on tenor).
That's a pretty amazing pace. How long did that peal take at that pace 2:45 on the twelve I should think. Though some would say that there is no handstroke pause.
shipsbells just did a calc with a stop watch and counted 26 changes per minute so assuming 5040 changes that is 3hrs 13 mins. some of the ringing doesn't have lead breaks and I was counting fro. lead breaks. They would make Devon change ringers jealous. Suberb ringing I thought
There is a hand stroke lead, but often they miss it out. I think that is the only thing that stops this being Perfection! It is a joy to listen to . I think to be in the ringing room and simply lay of the floor with a pillow and close my eyes would be an incredible moment of mindfulness.Just being in the zone

Just HAD to listen again to this sparkling, crisp, faultless piece of ringing to start my New Year off. Bloody glorious
I love that the trebles are so much clearer than at some towers
HarryBellringer hey harry, tom tells me you were featured on the news?
Crikey. That is absolutely PHENOMENAL ringing. Very well done to those who rang that!

A lot of great music packed into a short space of time here! Loved it.
Beautiful bells and fabulous ringing! Sound very much like Cheltenham Minster!!

Superb striking, it really brings out the best in the bells.
this is the best ringing on you tube i have seen.
utterly superb ringing
Great to be able to see Paul Mounsey's famous style!
Monday, 13th June 2016 - I say again "marvelous" - tower bells rung at handbell speed. Absolute joy!
My 'hero' Paul on the Tenor, put me right in a Surprise Major peal sooo fast- and we scored!! (30 years ago)
These are quite a nice set of
12.

What are you trying to say?!

Yes Trinity Church is in New York. I'm glad some churches here are inspired by England's bell ringing style.
Superb Ringing, Well done. Not one flaw! Marvelous!
@darrowby1972 This is a St Pauls Cathedral band, not the FODS!

cool, thanks.
Someone mentioned about me becoming a college youth the other day.
@timmeh1507 Paul Mounsey is on the tenor.

Any way I could find the video perhaps?
12 bells plus a sharp 2nd cast by taylors eyare and smith tenor 23-3-17 in 2006 the sharp 2nd in 2016 john taylor
wow :]] very impressive!
@win104 Yes.
@simonbellringer I know I know, but its just in my opinion they sound better as a ten (in 1BODGER95's video)
He's on the tenor
Sounds like coverety cathedral and Grantham cathedral
They sound like neither. GSM Cambridge they sound like as GSM were cast and tuned to the spec of Wall Street
He's the white haired man on the tenor
Can anyone tell what was said at 2:34 ?
Very nice striking, but I just cant make myself think that the treble is a nice souding bell - it horrible!!

who’s ringing the 8th?
could it be an enquiry as to why the ringer on the second is vibrating?
