Love and appreciate your content so much, this was super insightful
I've had years not caring about derealization at all we didn't even talk about it in therapy and it was still there with no changes (I have it 24/7) so it's hard to keep accepting it after so many years . I don't know what to do. I feel like there are not enough therapists who know how to deal with this and currently I'm working on anxiety, meditating etc. But I truly believe it will go away some day ♥️
How about any underlying stressors or unprocessed trauma? Have you tried going a little deeper in your therapy to find out if you got stressors or unprocessed trauma?
@@RealSwamyG yes we did but there doesn't seem to be something like that :/ But I'm very happy for your work on youtube they help me get through this thank you! ♥️
Knowledge is power Thank you .
You the man ! Great content as per usual !
Hey I just want to thank u for the 7 part email course. I’ve really came to an understanding with dpdr and I’m going through a set back right now and I’m not really freaking out I’m chill
Congrats. That's the way to go.
22 hours ago I felt it again after 4 months for exact 4 to 5 seconds. My mom was talking with me . I was listening to her. It was not a serious conversation . It was like a nightmare . I was unable to recognise my mom . I can't describe it with words. I really thought this is not my world around.
Don't track your DPDR like this.. "22 hours ago for 4 to 5 seconds".. just leave it... Let it come and go.
@@RealSwamyG No no I'm not tracking . I mentioned the time and duration just to tell you .
I'm tired of people not understanding the impact of childhood trauma and DPDR. I'm not resisting DPDR anymore, but the trauma is the cause in so many cases. Everyone isn't the same. Acceptance does NOT cure traumatized people. Please research that. There are so many articles, studies etc about it. You can't give out a recovery course, if you don't understand the underlying causations.
People, who recover by acceptance had DPDR purely from anxiety, but people who don't typically have chronic relational trauma from childhood that ends up fragmenting them on the inside, and we dissociate because of intense suppressed childhood pain. It is very known at this point.
Hi, I'm not sure if you followed the video fully or if you have seen my other videos. I often talk about trauma and how one needs to process trauma in order to fully heal from DPDR. I'd ask you to check this video fully or see my other videos before making such claims. I'm with you here.
@@RealSwamyG, I have, but there is never any detailed information about chronic relational trauma and what it actually does to the brain, body, how to process trauma etc. You talk how much "acceptance is the key to recovery" and in this video you said that people, who get stuck in DPDR just haven't accepted it, and we just have to flow with it, and it'll be gone. Why should acceptance alone make it go away, when it is a dissociative disorder? A dissociate disorder is a trauma-based disorder. While I can say that we absolutely should go with the flow and not resist it, the truth is that acceptance is maximally 30 % of the battle. I've talked to many people with DPDR, and all the people, who had had it for 2 years plus had a lot of developmental trauma. For some people, they will have to confront the issues more directly, in those people it is not just an overwhelmed state. It is an airbag, a survival mechanism that serves to shield them from more trauma and pain. Why would acceptance of DPDR be key, if their brains are protecting them from painful emotions? Confronting that is the key, acceptance is just a part of it all.
And sorry that I came off as rude. You do also have a lot of valuable information. I just think that there should a lot more focus on the trauma-part, and how to process etc.
Hi sir how are you ....I am from india I suffered panic attack in 2017 from that time I have anxiety as doctors told.Last year once I visited to doctor .One patient having problem that he hear sound from that time I have fear that same will going to happen with me ....From last 3 month I feel totally detached from reality and feel nothing is real ...I just want to know that I will become crazy because of that ....
No, you won't go crazy from DP/DR.
My friend, keep a grasp on your confidence. Don’t care whether your daily performance is the same as before. Nothing at all will happen. Good luck!
@@RealSwamyG thank you
@@funwithaiman thank you
Accept the feelings as best you can don't fight it, recovery lies on the other side of fear, the less attention you give it the sooner it leaves, if it comes back it's ok, don't fight it, float with the yucky feelings, it will leave.
I need to talk to someone please I have so many questions
Hey swamy I hadn’t had dpdr for 6 weeks and I was normal but it came back yesterday really bad
You're just experiencing a setback ruclips.net/video/w-EzICYk3AA/видео.html
Hey Swamy did you get this after smoking weed
Het swamy berry here
🙏🏻 Im Tapering benzo and my dp. Skyrocket, you know me for years and I was doing bttr just weeks ago until my pdoc decided to cut me 50% benzo will I at least return to my old dp?
100%
Berry Uyens it will honestly get way better. Slowly come off the benzos and do it naturally my friend. Think of what youre going through as a setback because of increased anxiety from coming off benzos. Do you REALLY wanna go back to your “old dp”? Think of it as a monkey on your shoulder that’s picking your hairs out one by one , would u rather have the monkey on your shoulder still and notice it every once in awhile or fully get that monkey off your damn shoulders?? Just letting u know theres very healthy ways to get rid of dpdr. If u have any questions feel free to ask. Im still going through it but i know what i need to do and recovery is right around the corner...
@@thomast9872 I have it 5 years, idk if I ever get bttr
😭, I was doing so good, but I never should had taken this benzos
Berry Uyens forget about the timeline. That doesnt matter at all... trust me on this bud.
